or this?

Love the dress IWPO! Can you try on similar styles in person? It is really hard to pick a veil without seeing it with your dress... my mind changed completely when I had seen my veil in person.

I think you would want to go with an elegant fingertip length, with only one layer (maybe 2 if they are thin), and some beading around the edge that matches the beading in your bodice.

All the tule in the pictures you posted is going to distract from your gorgeous dress, and it's clean lines. IMO

IWPO, I think because your dress has ruching and tucks and embellishments, you might want to let those aspects of your dress stand out on their own by wearing a simple, single layer veil (fingertip or longer), the type that goes straight down on the sides, no fluttering...I think that will enable you to wear a veil and still let all the elements of your dress stand out and not compete with the veil.

I tried a long on and just didn''t think it did much for me.....

I think the one you tried on would be PERFECT with your dress if it would be slightly shorter....maybe petite fingertip or elbow - or somewhere in between - I love the sheer one layer with the beaded edge with your dress! It''s simply divine!

Something shorter than this (ie reaches just to the bottom of your corset)... would be perfect, and honestly the beading on that veil doesn't match your dress at all. Those look like swarovski crystals all along the edge, and it stands out way too much. Eventhough you have crystals in your dress, I would recommend going with less along the edge or just having beading along the edge of the veil, beads that match your dress.

Single layer, unfinished edge

I know I said it before, but I just

your dress. It looks so stunning on you.

Hmmm. I like a multi-layer veil with your dress. It seems like everyone wears single layer veils these days . . . I did too. The multi-layer looks very bride-y! I don''t care for the single layer with your dress (which I also l

seems so blah to me, a poofier veil might be better for my personality. lol

I was thinking the same thing, except I don't know you really, so it seemed like an odd thing to say. You could tell by your expression in the mirror (w/ the single layer veil) -- you look like you're thinking to yourself but iwannapoofyone, this isn't a poofy one . . . .

lol

You needapoofyone! Is your dress bustled in those photos? Or is that the shape of your dress? I could see the poof of the veil sort of following the poof of the skirt. Does that make sense? Mimicking the poof is what I'm trying to say.

Ohhhhh! I see! Now, if you got a three tier, would you wear the blusher as a blusher? If yes, then following my mimicking theory, your two tiers down-the-aisle would be consistent with your train, and your later three tiers would be more consistent with your bustle! I''m all for a three-tier!

that was what I was thinking too!

like this maybe (quick photoshop)

Dont like that shortie, sorry. The proportion is off to the dress. Doesn''t the maker of the dress suggest a specific veil you can try? What do the consultants at the shop suggest?

can anyone fine my dress on a person with a veil? I have been look look looking and NADA!

I went for something like this with my dress:
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-wedding-veil-and-jewelry.88318/

But with more POOF on top with the blusher.

Now originally I wanted short and poofy and when I put it on it didn''t go so well with the shape of my dress. One thing of note that the ladies at the shop said it was like poof out, at the top in at the waist then poof out at the bottom. It make my overall shape look odd.

Don''t get me wrong I love poof, and you can do that but with a longer veil I think that may look nice with your dress. Either way though...

GYPSY actually gave me the best veil advice. I wound up going with something similar to what she recommended. Mine''s sweep length though. (in line with what purr said single layer unfinished edge.. just add the more poof on top with the blusher). I also agree with surfgirl in re: to the detailing on your dress and it standing on it''s own more.

This is a cool site too by the way and they recommend longer veils for trumpet/mermaid style gowns. http://www.brides.com/plugins/swf/fashion/accessories/veilstory/index.swf

Disclaimer: I had my septoplasty today and am on vicodin so if I''m not making sense I blame that!

This, sorry for the crummy photoshopping, not enough time to make it perfecto.

IWPO: I worked as the salon manager of a signature bridal designer in Houston... I looked for a while earlier for a bride with your dress, but couldn't find anything. Can you give us the designer and style?

I don't think you like it, since I've said it more than once... but it is what will match your dress the best. This is my professional opinion. One or if you wish 2 (very thin!!) layers, the longest one falling at the small of your back, with minimal beading/crystals around the edge.

This one is the right thinkness, but the cut is not cohesive with the dress. A veil with not such a square cut going down your face, across your amr, and then across your back. I would look for something with a rounder line cut.

The cropped one above it(with blonde pony tail) is a good cut, just thinner, more delicate, material.
