WOODSTOCK...was anyone at the original festival?

This is the 40th anniversary of the original Woodstock and I''m wondering if anyone on PS actually attended the 1969 festival and what it was like.

I wasn''t, but a few of my friends did. They loved it. Yes, it was wild, but they loved it.

I''m just a *bit* too young to have gone to that -- but my HS French teacher still has her (and her DH''s) tickets. They were driving there and traffic was so bad that they decided to turn around and go home! So she''s still got the original tickets as a reminder of how much it pays off to have a bit of patience!

Nope, but I wish I could have been there. Too young. I would have made an awesome hippy. My mom told me that you were either into disco or you were a hippy. She says there is an inner hippy in me. I totally believe it.
