My vet had an open house last Sunday with a best-dressed pet contest. I really wanted to take my bunny, Otto, but I couldn't come up with a costume he would've put up with. Bunnies aren't into being dressed up like dogs

Maybe we'll enter next year when he's older and calmer. I think he'd look very handsome in a hat and cape

Any other bunny friendly costume ideas?
elrohwen,

If I am recalling correctly, you and I are in the same state, so this is going to sound very funny, but I have to ask -- is your vet in S. Wilton by chance? If so, that's where I was last Sunday, at their open house - AND - there were several bunnies there. One was in a very cute witch costume. I took a pic and will post later today from my other computer.

And, by the way, Otto is adorable!
LOL Yes, my vet is in South Wilton! Hahaha. That would've been crazy if we had met there! We probably wouldn't have even figured out the PS connection. You definitely have to post the bunny witch picture! They're some of the best bunny vets around, so I thought there would be some competition from the bunny secter

The bunny could wear a top hat and cape and pull a little magician out of the hat!
Hahaha. That''s the best idea ever! I''m so going for that next year. That would definitely win a costume contest! And he might actually let me put a cape on him (I think he''d freak if I put on anything that went around his belly)

heres my charlie al tuckered out after a night of barking at trick or treaters!!! this was last year, and his bee costume didnt fit...ill need to take a pic in his new dracula costume!!! dh will only allow the dogs to be clothed on hallween!

Elrohwen,

That so funny and so small world-ish! We wouldn''t have figured out the connection until you saw my dog in costume on here. Lol. They do have a very, very nice office, and they had lots of little critters like bunnies, ferrets, snakes and iguanas. Haha. There were a LOT of people and pets, so it was fun. You''ll have to go next year. Here''s the bunny photo. So sweet!

This was another little cutie. She was dressed up as a lady-bug, which you can''t really tell from this photo, but she does look like such a little teddy bear. Not sure what kind of dog she is, but she sure is cute!

The Spooky Pooch Parade was so much fun!

I have some pictures. The pumpkin is Tallulah, she''s my mom''s 12-year-old Border Collie mix. Raggedy Ann is Killian, my mom''s 7-year-old lab mix. And Peter Pan is Bailey, my best friend''s 2-year-old Cavalier.

And here we are with Bailee, our 2-year-old bulldog mix. She was the only French maid there!

And these pups aren''t related to me, but they were so cute I had to take pictures!
How clever are the Dogs Playing Poker?
And the little girl on the right is a Lab/Basset Hound mix. How adorable is she? Oh my gosh.

Oh my goodness, LV, that little grey bunny is adorable! I''ll definitely have to go next year if only to see the other cute little bunnies.

Link to the Botanic Garden''s online album of spooky pooches!

Last night we saw a few cute pet costumes. One was of a dog turned into a hot dog. The costume kept slipping around on the dog so the heavier part was at the bottom. lol The family spent more time fixing that than trick or treating.

Eliza in her Girlie Girl costume (a bit big but I made it so it fits when she''s fully grown)

LostSapphire, your pups are all so cute! I don''t see Cairns around much, but I can''t figure out why because they have that perfect scruffy terrier look.
