LOL.

Someone on another forum said it was a waste of iPods and such but I thought it was funny.

It's pretty ingenious marketing. I know when I can get over spending $600 on a blender it will be a Blendtec.

I agree.
I've known about "Will it Blend" videos for a long time but only yesterday found out the guy actually owns a company that makes blenders.
What got me to leave Youtube and finally go to his website was curiosity about how professionally-produced (expensive) his videos are.
Where was the money coming from for what appears to be a well-funded hobby or joke?

It's a heck of a lot cheaper than producing and running a TV infomercial. He also might get $ for promoting the things he is blending that week: the latest phone, tennis shoe, album release...ect. They are awesome blenders. They are the ones I see the smoothie shops using...ridiculous horsepower in a small appliance.

Yeah, their $1000 model draws 20 amps.
You can't even plug it into your standard 15 amp outlet.

That's great when you need to blend a garden rake.

We use those blenders at work. A perfectly blended smoothie or coffee drink in 12 seconds. I've never had a chunk of ice in my drink (unless it's from the little chunks that sometimes get stuck in the bottom of the cup when I measure out the ice).

I want one so bad!
