Why can''t I upload a pic for my avatar?? Help, anyone??

Hello!
I hope I am in the right place for a question like this! I hate to even ask it, but I have been trying to upload a pic for my avatar, which I believe is the right size, etc., and each and every time it gives me an "Error message". I have tried this with several pics and the same thing happens. It tells me to contact the web master, which I am not sure how to do either. Anyone know what I should do or what I am doing wrong??

I''m not sure about avatars, but does it have a unique name? With pictures in general on PS they each have to use a unique file name. Not sure if that is the case with avatars though. But do you see the tab that says MSG ADMIN? It''s at the upper right of a thread. Click on that and admin can help you through it if need be.

It did have a unique name, so I am not sure that is it. But, I will try to contact an administrator now.

I would also welcome any other info. from other PS''ers who may know how to fix this problem!

Yes, it is.

Try making a unique name with letters and numbers.

Hmm. Are you "positive" it''s the right size? I have a link I can give you that will make sure it is, if you think that would help.

Click on link.

Hit browse, find your pick, click open.

Then click, More Options

Then click, Specify your own height and width

Do 96 x 96, and at the bottom click, Click here to resize. Voila!


* Make sure the pic is fairly square to begin with.

Ellen you were 100% right! It was the fact that it wasn''t exactly 96x96!!

This isn''t the best picture, but I was just so sick of looking at that pink character that so many other people have! LOL!
