Where in the WORLD did you come up with that statistic??? Not true! SAD!



DF, I lived there for 8 years. Not once did I see people with guns or people shooting. And when I dropped people off/picked up/flew in and out of Midway I drove through some areas I was absolutely warned against. Sometimes I had taken a wrong turn or was trying to cut through to get someplace faster, but usually I was just a curious cat and not a damn thing ever happened.

That said, there are places out in rural Indiana I wouldn't drive through past dark, what with all the meth, booze, and guns. Far more dangerous than the inner city, and fewer people around to hear shots or hear you scream. Oh, and body disposal is a hell of a lot easier in the remote locations here.

Iconic Chicago pizza = Lou Malnati's ! (I'm a transplant though and didn't come out of the womb clutching a piece of butter crust so I prefer their thin crust. Sacrilege to be sure here in Chi-town!)

As for dog -- or dawg if you grew up in Pittsburgh like I did -- pronunciation isn't as important but the yellow mustard, chopped white onions, bright green sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices or wedges, pickled sport peppers and a dash of celery salt!

Giordano's is my favorite, too! We have one in Indy now, thank goodness, so I don't have to drive all the way to Chicago to get my spinach deep dish fix.
