coz i''m engaged!!!
it happened a couple of weeks ago and we''re still beaming with joy. we even joke around calling each other "fiancee" coz we both aren''t too crazy about the term. anyhoo, it was the sweetest thing. he planned this wonderful weekend getaway in the most amazing city in the world - nyc. even if we both live in the city, we never seem to grow tired of everything that new york has to offer. plus i love this city. we''ve only lived here a few years and can''t get enough of it. he said he didn''t want to do it anywhere else coz this is where we really started living our lives together.
the proposal was still a complete surprise even if the ring was in the apartment already. he asked me to marry him in a hotel room filled with candles and roses (petals and bouquets). he got down on one knee, said the most wonderful and heartfelt things as he put the ring on my finger, while i stood in shock. i said yes after i told him that i couldn''t believe it was happening right now.
suffice to say, the moment was soooo perfectly us. he did a splendid job and i''m really thankful that he went through all that just to ask me to marry him. i honestly wasn''t expecting anything so elaborate and sweet. the wait was sooooooo worth it.
without further ado, here''s my ring! it''s a gia 1.76 h vs2 carat square emerald/asscher diamond with about 1 carat total sidestone weight set in platinum.

ps - this is the most decent picture of my ring i have right now. i can''t seem to get a hang of using the macro mode in my camera; everything still comes out blurry. i''ll post more pics once i get better shots.
