When are you going?
We're going August 3-6. Woot!
Where are you staying?
Luxor baby. Rooms are CHEAP, and we have to test it out for our wedding guests.
What are you going to do while you're there?
See some shows, eat some food! Definitely going to see BeLIEve with Criss Angel, and probably some kind of half priced show from the cheap ticket booths on the Strip.
Why are you going?
To finish up wedding planning stuff, decide on a wedding reception site, and for some R and R. I've had probably the most stressful semester thus far in my academic career, what with getting sick, trying to complete 9 credit hours, plus with the incredibly stressful engagement party/mini family reunion right in the middle of it all, FI was surprised my head didn't explode. So, we're going to Vegas to unwind and relax before my FINAL semester EVER begins. WOHOO!!!!!

DH and I are SUPPOSED to go August 27-31....depends on how I''m feeling and if I''m able to travel.
Where are you staying?
New York New York....everything is comped....YIPPEE!!! All we need is spending money...and that''s a lot according to DH! He plays blackjack and I love the slots.
What are you going to do while you''re there?
DH will gamble and see our friends, Jeff and Robby, who live there. I''ll probably rest in the bed most of the time. Will depend on how I''m feeling and how hot it is there.
Why are you going?
For my birthday and cause I haven''t been able to go anywhere due to health issues. We usually go to Vegas at least twice a year, but I haven''t been in over two years. I''d love to renew our vows, too, but DH won''t hear of it. Maybe next Valentine''s Day on our annual trek to Vegas...it used to be tradition that we go to Vegas for our Anniversary. That way, I won''t have to worry about not having enough food for everyone!

Why are you going? It''s a trip we''re taking with two other couples. The reason we''re going is because one of the friends is a die-hard Beatles fan and he really wants to see Love. So his wife is going, me and FI, and another couple that we''re both friends with. Should be a good time!

I''m not going to Vegas, but I just want to say I really want to! DH went with a couple friends last year and I said I wouldn''t want to go, but my mom went this past week for a business trip (she stayed at the Mirage) and told me all the fun things to do there and now I REALLLLY want to go it sounds like so much fun!!

I originally wanted to get married at the Bellagio, but when we checked it out we decided that we would enjoy it more as a vacation.

Where: First few days at the MGM grand, then a hotel yet to be determined (trying to find a decent deal for Fri/Sat), and finally the Luxor. I''m really interested in seeing one of the Cirque du Soleil shows, probably KA or O. And I''m dying to see Thunder from Down Under, but the husband won''t bite.
What: We''re going to relax, eat, drink, swim, see some shows, gamble just a tad, maybe get some spa treatments, and most importantly, spend time together as a second honeymoon. Our real honeymoon in Key West was fab except that I was sick, so we couldn''t really do much if you get my drift. We''re hoping to make up for some lost time.
Why: Because neither of us have ever been there!

We had to postpone our original honeymoon in order to attend this wedding so we decided to extend our Vegas stay a bit and push our "real" honeymoon off to our one year anniversary so we could make sure we do that trip 110%

It is really hot. However, it's also a dry heat, AND it's REALLY cheap because it's the slow season. The prices are basically as low as they get.
I leave in...2.5 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA: Right now it's about 95 degrees, and the estimated high is around 105 for the next few days.
