You crack me up on a daily basis with your quirky sense of humour and have dropped hints about some of your hobbies (websites for your pets?

) that have got me curious about you!

Can you tell us more please? Or even just regale us with photos of your kitties!

Thank you dreamer - it is such an honor to have my own Who's Who thread! I feel like I have finally been welcomed to the Pricescope community.

So the 101 on CharmyPoo. I am an engineer through my studies but make my living as a Management Consultant. I have called Toronto my home for most of my life. I act like a tough girl but people know that I am actually a big suck who is very caring and sweet. I still try to deny it. I have no house wife capabilities as I am incapable of cooking and not great at cleaning - lucky for me, my fiancé is amazing at both. My hobbies and interest include animals, shopping and doing volunteer work.

I can sum myself up with the following characteristics:

Quirky Sense of Humour: I have a knack for cracking up my closet friends and co-workers with my retarded, outrageous and unfiltered comments. Others have no idea what the heck is wrong with me. Luckily, my fiancé is blessed with a real sense of humor and knows how to make everyone laugh while I am left laughing at my own jokes. On occasion, my family can't tell if I am joking or serious - how can they not with outrageous comments!

Say It Like It Is: My friends alway come to me for honest advice as they know I won't butter things up. I can only give them honest opinions with their best interest at heart. They know not to come to me when they are looking for someone to validate their silly decisions as I will just tell them they are being retarded (in a somewhat nice way).

Obsessive Compulsive Tendencies: This all started with my obsession with clothes, shoes and purses. The fiancé had to make two whole bedrooms into a gigantic closet to keep all the stuff - poor guy only has one tiny closet. Since finding Pricescope, the obsessions translated to gemstones and diamonds. I am sure Tourmaline_Lover knows what I am talking about - it started with one ugly spinel purchase on eBay and now I have hundreds of gemstones. My fiancé describes me as someone who hungers for the chase of knowledge - I have gain a lot of useless knowledge whenever I have a new interest. I know almost every breed of cat and dog and can describe their personalities and breed standards. My friends and co-workers translates my behaviors as me being a perfectionist who is highly resourceful and ambitious (I will toot my own horn and throw in intelligent – haha).

Workaholic: I have sold my life and soul to work. My clients and co-workers wonder if I ever sleep since I respond to emails all hours of the day. My teams know I care and look-out for them while pushing them to be their personal bests - they are always happy to work with me. Others are afraid because I have a rep for being a slave driver - still trying to figure out where that came from. I have found myself sneaking onto Pricescope and responding to posts every time I need a break!

There we go – my own personal novel on Pricescope!

Charmy! Now I have more questions!

Where does your name come from?

What is the deal with your two killer cushions... I have read bits and bobs of the story but I want to know the scoop. Why do you ave both? What is the status with the setting search?

Can you please post some piccies of your kitties?

And maybe some pictures of all your bling? I had no idea you had such a large collection!

BTW we sounds like peas in a pod

Dreamer - I have always wanted to know more about you as I always see us crossing paths and saying the same things :)

My name actually goes way back. Charmy is actually short for my real name (which I won't say here). Poo .. is just a tack on I added. I used to call all my pets ... their name + Poo or Pie. LOL.

Story about my cushions is actually an embarrassing one. I am still debating on what to do since we never intended to get two engagement rings. My fiance first purchased the modern cushion from ERD based on my guidance and we had it set by Maytal Hannah. The setting didn't do it for me and then we decided to change up the diamond. I changed my mind and wanted a chunky cushion that was higher in color. Mark was unable to find me the stone I wanted so we went ahead and purchased an AVC. I made loose attempts to sell the modern cushion but then I am too sentimental and kept backing out. The stone is going to be reset in a Harry Winston inspired halo - that design is settled and waiting for Maytal to get off mat leave. In terms of my AVC with Leon, I decided on a design but it wasn't going to work and Leon came up with one that I don't like. This was last Friday and no progress since.

Pics to come later.

I am waiting for the photos miss Charmy!

I would also love to hear about your wedding plans, if you have them.

Charmy, I''m so glad I found this thread. Since I usually see you over in CS, I had no idea you had two cushions!

Oh Dreamer .. you don''t really want to know about my wedding plans ... I don''t even want to know about my wedding plans. I started off all excited last year with the goal to book everything really early. 7 months later and I still haven''t booked a venue or a church. I got a photographer and wedding planner though.

The venue - my fiancé absolutely loves one venue and I like it too. It''s a really geeky non-traditional place that suits us well. The problem is that the room is a little small for our guest size. The place closes at 6 PM so we won''t be able to setup until late - meaning dinner at 8. It will also be really expensive because we need to rent everything.

I am also keen about another venue that is still under construction. It is a green thing - essentially a building in the middle of acres and acres of green and water .. hidden away in the middle of the city. The room that will accommodate us isn''t air conditioned but it will look really rustic (historic site). I am sort of leaning towards this place but guaranteed it will even be more expensive since we even have to rent LIGHTING and have really strict green rules (only allowed Canadian grown food, no bottled water, Canadian grown flowers)!! My fiancé also isn''t big on it because he says we are not the "eco" type (although we do care about the environment).

Then .. there is our church problem. I still haven''t picked out a church and his parents are freaking out about it. They are very religious and it is the most important thing to them.

On top of all this ... my mom is superstitious and our original date of June 11 is really bad luck for us so we had to change our date. The fortune tellers said June 18 was the best date but my photographer and wedding planner was not available on those days and I already decided on those vendors. Then I was left with September 3 and September 10 (the whole months of July, August, and October are not allowed). Anyways, we are now stuck on Sept 3 which is a long weekend. Sept 10 is not great because it is very close to my fiancé''s sister''s birthday (she passed away and it is a tough time for his family).

Ok... now that I got it all out. I think I need to sit down and run my wedding like how I run my projects at work.

IndyLady - welcome to the thread :)

I do love the CS forum but I hang out at Rocky Talky a lot too. I am a huge cushion lover. I just gave my fiance my engagement ring to be sent away and remade. I was so sad to see it go .. he had to grab it from me when I was trying to say goodbye.

haha... JUST DO IT as Nike says. Me thinks you can have a tendancy to procrastinate on some things (ummm... your rings, case and point
2.gif
). Set a date for like 4 months from now and then get cracking! haha That''ll speed it up. Or turn it all over to someone else. Otherwise I think you will still be planning your wedding in 5 years!

I planned our whole wedding sans help, and it was actually a fun project. But if I could do it ALL over again, I would pick a place where they do everything for you, and you just tell them what you want. Like a package deal. I know it is not all that romantic, but it sure would have made things easier and less expensive.

I need pictures of the kitties in this thread for sure.
