Could I please get a little real estate dust, too?

We've been trying to sell the house, for over a year now, and it would sure be great if we could finally find a buyer.

We've done every little thing every agent has suggested, but it doesn't seem to help much.

I'd appreciate a little dust, luck, or some prayers, if you have any left over from sending it to Monarch.

Thank you so much . . .

HOUSE DUST!

Hehehehehe at house dust!!!

Anyway, lots of PS house dust coming your way! :wavey:

Dust and good luck to you iLander. Selling houses has been really difficult to accomplish in the last two years. Just hang in there.

I'm happy to share real estate dust with you, iLander, and send you lots as well! Were you the one whose realtor kept pressuring you to have a pro cleaning done? I can't remember, there's a lot of real estate talk on here. If you were that person, did you end up doing so (out of sheer curiosity, not because I want to re-hash)?

We originally fell in love with a house in the same neighborhood as the house we just put an offer on. The original one went on the market in August and by the time we viewed it in September I thought for sure it would be snapped up, it was immaculate and adorable and is in an awesome highly-sought-after location. Nope. Seller ended up lowering the price in November and it STILL sat on the market until mid-December. We finally decided to put an offer on it and as soon as we did it turned out that someone else already had and that offer was pending already. Big bummer for us, but at least the seller finally found a buyer.

Have you received any offers on your house at all? Again, just curious/being chatty.

Sending lots of dust; hope it sells soon!

Thank you guys! :wavey: I'm trying to keep my chin up, but it's starting to be a bit discouraging.

@ Gemgirl: Yes, you are right, it is very difficult to sell right now, and I'm in a better boat than a lot of people, what with foreclosures and all, so I really have no right to complain.

@Monarch: Yep, that was me. I finally got the realtor to explain to me what the issue was. You ready? The sliding glass door tracks. She thought we needed a deep clean for those. I vacuumed them, which were a bit dusty, but they weren't filthy or gross, so she's fine with it now.

I don't know why it hasn't sold, but I think some of it may be my next door neighbor's house. They have a bunch of little outbuildings and sheds, so it doesn't look very upscale from the yard. I think I will have to spring for some fencing or bushes. Nobody's mentioned it, but I can't help but think maybe that's some of it. Houses do tend to take a long time to sell here, a year is not considered unusual.

The realtors all seem to like it, it's all renovated, and the cheapest in our area. The feedback we've gotten is stuff like "they don't like the stairs, decided on a one story'', "they decided on a condo". "they don't like the low ceilings" (it's standard 8 foot), all stuff we can't do anything about. It's just not outstanding, nobody seems to have fallen in love. We like it, so I guess we just have no taste?

Your dust is much appreciated, I need that little extra bit of help, thank you.

iLander- good luck! dust dust dust!

@Bean- Thank you for the kind words, fellow pearl lover! :wavey:

@Monarch- And best of luck to you on your purchase! I have fingers crossed.

@LovingGems- Thank you, I appreciate your kindness, you're always so sweet.

@dragonfly- Thank you, with your extra energy directed that way, I think it will help! We've got to get back to our conversation on the weird and ethereal!

@tyty- Thank you, I am hoping for gardeners who can picture it all landscaped.

I believe that all unselfish prayers are answered, so let's hope that the answer is yes :appl:

maaaaaajor selling dust coming your way!!! my DH and i decided after 5 months on the market with not one showing to call it quits and rent the home instead. we've had so much interest, so if it's an option, maybe think about it? either way- sending my selling dust your way, since we don't need it anymore :)

Thank you, Charbie! :wavey: I'll put it to good use!

This is what I don't get; we have had TONS of showings! Like 2 a week on average. Several second showings. It's so WEIRD! I'm thinking of burning sage or something. . .

But, I feel an oddly positive vibe since you guys have been sending dust, so I am hopeful. :appl:
