Which painting do you like best?

#2 here also. I''ll echo others'' thoughts here in saying that the first does like folds of flesh and the last one feels a little empty and sad as I would be sitting there wondering why there''s no front door. Does it mean something as abstract art is sometimes telling a story. I agree it looks unbalanced and in a flood.
#2 does look balanced and there is a good combo of positive/negative space as well as the colors are balanced.

I chose black island sands because the 3rd one is less abstract but to a fault I think - I can see why some would pick it as it is the only thing that really looks like something (and buildings can be very grounding) but it doesn''t have as much actual interest beyond the familiarity of a building. The first one was a close 2nd but its visual impact didn''t linger for me quite as long or resounding as #2. #2 has the most complexity and you can see so many different things. The colors are a bit more dynamic as well. I would choose #2. I love art - paintings in particular - I have run out of wall space!

Agree. I don''t mind negative space per se, and while the Deep South appealed to me at first glance, I got bored with it very quickly. Sandstones kept me looking.

I''ve read through now and I got a chuckle out of the garage door comment - I like #2 better than ever now (not just because of that comment) but because it... I dunno lol I just like it best still lol

#3 is sooo sooo lonely to me. Maybe someone with DSS would like it - Desperately Seeking Solitude.

For some reason the stones on the right in Sandstone look like fingertips of a hand; and it kind of creeps me out.
