I don''t have any actual pics of me in the following photos but need help on picking a style. I''m torn between three! I''ve tried on Dress #1 & 2 but forgot my camera! Such a spaz on that one. Please help.

Dress #1 Monique Lhuillier Scarlet

Dress #2 Monique Lhuillier Coco skirt & Confetti Top (like this combo but without the pickups on the skirt and a different color
sash)

Dress #3 Monique Lhuillier Coco skirt (without the pickups, but with a separate custom alencon lace top)

Dress #2

Dress #3

I like 1 and 2, but I am not crazy about the back of the scarlet b/c it reminds me of a bathing suit, so I would change the back. Just MHO.

They''re all lovely, but my favourite in the pics is #1. We''d have to see pics of you in each of the dresses to make a more educated choice.

Don''t get me wrong: all the dresses are nice dresses. Without a picture of you, no one could possibly know what you look good in; these are completely different styles.

As for number one: IMHO, and I realize I might be stepping on the toes of other PSers, backless dresses that end just above one''s rear are not appropriate wedding attire. Whether it is a church venue or not. No one will be listening to your vows; all eyes will be staring at that top button below your waistline. I can''t think of any occassion, and certainly not a wedding, where that kind of exposure would be considered in good taste. Save it for the beach.

I love number 1!!! I really like the top of number 2 with the skirt of number 3, but don''t love the 3rd top. But as the others said, it really depends on how they look on you, and whether number 1 would be a bit too low cut in the back on you.

They all look like fabulous choices! The Scarlet is one of my favorite Monique Luillier creations. It is a little racy but I adore the cut of it and the lace is do die for. I suppose it all depends on your comfort level with showing a lot of flesh.

I''m not much of a poofy skirt kind of girl but I do really like the combo of #2.

If we can see pics of you in the dresses that would be awesome and a lot easier to chime in with our two cents.

I LOOOVVVE number 1!!!! So beautiful and sexy, yet elegant at the same time.

I like #1...and at first the back didn''t bother me...but after reading Holly''s post, I looked at it again...and yes...to me it''s too sexy...but of course none of that matters if YOU like it and think you''ll be comfortable in it.

Ew la la! I like number ONE!!! are those cap sleeves? cap sleeves don''t look the best on me, but that dress is a beauty!

I love #1, just the way it is. Your veil can cover your back for the ceremony and then you''ll be good to go for the reception. It''s a beautiful dress.

#1 all the way!

Those dresses are all so different...

First of all, what is the vibe of your wedding? That will play a huge part in selecting the right dress.

Secondly, like many of the wise women have pointed out, we''d have to see you in the actual dress to say "yep, that''s it!" ... I have no doubts you picked dresses that you knew would look divine on your body ... but it''s hard for us to make a blind suggestion, ya know?

Lastly, on design alone...I like 2 or 3. I think 1 is beautiful...really beautiful. It would be perfect for a beach wedding, or as a reception dress. But, it''s to sexy to be serious. Bridal gowns should be pure and innocent...hence the veil, the white... I LOVE the top on number 3...and Number 2 is just so classically "right".

I really like #1 but I feel like the back and the front are racy. I feel like only the front or only the back should be low cut. this one shows too much back and too much front. I think you can pull it off if you have small boobs that aren't too "there"

I was thinking the same. I love number 1 but I think that it might be a bit much having the front and the back low-cut.

#1 is lovely. I think the back is lovely, but you would have to have a killer back (not meant to offend). Even a slight little lump or bump would really show, but for all I know you could be a supermodel

I like number 1. I''m biased, I have a thing for very sleek, backless dresses and I don''t like poofy dresses. Have you tried any of them on?

That''s a point. What''s the vibe of your wedding? I didn''t want the pure and innocent thing and didn''t do anything remotely traditional beyond signing the license

. What''s your location, theme, personality?

I understand where you are coming from... Having said that I do think that someone of a younger age and with the appropriate body shape for a dress like that could pull it off... Let's put it this way. I could do, but my Mom couldn't

...

I agree though... Such different styles. Go back and take pics! LOL
They are all pretty dresses... Which made you feel the most beautiful?

ETA~ Guess I should have said which I prefer... #1

I love #2! I just love the black sash.

i LOVE #2.

i love ML dresses and Scarlet is one of my FAVORITES. however, i've seen too many photos of Scarlet brides (from real weddings) showing their boobs from behind such as the one attached (and i've seen much more revealing ones) that unless you want people to see you, i don't recommend it.

#1 is beautiful!

I like numbers one and three but that''s irrelevant. Some dresses look fabo on models and just... ick on regular folks, and vice versa where the model look like heck, but a ''real'' person looks just great. It''s really a matter of what looks best on you AND what photographs the best. Ya need pics babe. Plus the three choices are so different so it''s not like we can just say... I like the embriodery on one or the ruffles on the other. Ya know?

I''d be super concerned about the back of number one (and the whole boobs showing from the side when the dress gapes thing and no support (very hard to wear anything under there so I hope your girls defy gravity) though.

Hi,

I don''t post very much, but wanted to chime in here on the good/bad points of #1, since that was my wedding dress! It definitely has a fun, vintage-y feel, and when altered correctly, I had no problems with the back buckling or being too revealing.

That being said:

you cannot wear anything underneath...no bra, no spanx, no nothing! so, you have to be ok with the dress showing your figure as it is :)

I''ve attached a pic of the dress in action (during our first dance), which shows how it ''moves''

Hope this helps

Numero uno. Provided that you are aware of the possibility of the back gaping issue. I respectfully disagree with Holly S. and think dress #1 is appropriate for the right wedding venue and vibe.

Can''t wait to see what you pick!

I''m going to ditto all of this for now. Without knowing you, your personality, the personality of your guests, and anything about your ceremony...I find #1 to be very inappropriate wedding attire. But this is coming from someone that a) doesn''t like backless anything, b) is most likely having a garden ceremony so that dress screams NO to me and c) is having guests that would do exactly what Holly mentioned...stare at me like what was she thinking.

All of that said, I loved #2.

I LOVE number 1! It''s gorgeous! However, I do think it''s probably not appropriate if you''re doing a church wedding and your church is at all conservative (as most churches are!). I''m not crazy about number 2 or 3 just because they don''t look as unique or special as number 1.

You were beautiful in the dress. It''s a gorgeous creation; and you carried it off like a supermodel.

However . . . . "You cannot wear anything underneath; no bra, no spanx, no nothing!" Like I said, it''s just my opinion, but I wouldn''t want to be so exposed, regardless of my spectactular figure (if I had one!); and I''m pretty sure most wedding guests are shocked by that level of ''va-va-voom''. Most brides would be uncomfortable in it; most guests would be uncomfortable watching a bride in it; and most minister''s eyes would actually roll back in their heads at the sight of it. And really, I can''t imagine many fathers being okay with their daughter exposing so much flesh on her wedding day. If I were a mother, paying for the gown of my daughter, this one wouldn''t even get a try-on. A wedding is NOT a celebrity red-carpet event where some ''pushing of the envelope'' is expected. We''ve been conditioned these days to accept a certain amount of cleavage in a wedding dress; but I don''t think we''re ready for the possibility of rear cleavage! Or side-exposure of the twins!

I know I''m being old-fashioned, just a bit of a fuddy-duddy, and I''m obviously in the minority here.

But you did prove that, if the bride can carry it off, it''s a spectactular dress.

I vote for #1. You can easily avoid exposing too much by using that tape stuff that models use to keep the fabric in place.
