Which dress for wedding (as guest)

Option 1 would be in soft peach color (softer and paler than color displayed). Silk chiffon material and traditional & conservative but hopefully looks even better w/heels and a tan. Option 2 is more fashion forward, but also primarily cotton so more casual. In person it does not look as wide in hips/waist as this photo indicates (ie it is more fitted IRL). Also I would get the this dress in a pale yellow, not green.

Note: wedding is backyard occassion in England in August--yet still suits and dress affair. I'd like to stand out a little though

Both seem casual to me (even if it is in a backyard) if you say its still suit/dress attire. If your date is in a suit, I would feel very casual next to that. But then again, I tend to overdress so who knows! LOL

Of the two though, I think #1 (the peach one) being that it is chiffon and stapless, looks more dressy and would be more appropriate. The green one looks too casual and if its cotton that makes it more casual.

Peach dress is silk chiffon--I wouldn't consider that casual. Also part of wedding collection line.

ETA: just saw Zoe's other thread, and like her, I don't know what bride and groom are wearing (info has been limited!), but we were told this is a"suits and dress" wedding. I do know the groom is wearing a suit and not a tux.

I like the peach one b/c of the material. i think it''s beautiful and some metallic strappy heels and awesome accessories would make it perfect.

I love the green dress too but I also think it may be a tad casual for a wedding. My friend has it and wore it to a casual outdoor party we had this year so that could be why i''m thinking that. She wore it with simple gold leather flip flops which may have made it look more casual. if there is a way to dress it up a bit then maybe...but my vote is still for the peach.

nice options! i''m glad you''re going with #1 though since i think it''s a lovely choice to wear at a wedding. i do like option 2 (i''m LOVING that green!) but as a more casual dress.
