Actually, a significant new critical work requirement came up. I got a part of the requirement at 5PM one day, and I needed to review some 1400 items and have reports ready by morning. I worked 29 hours straight to get it done. That put me at too many hours for the pay period and there were 2 days I wouldn''t be able to work. I decided to take a little break and use my 2 days to go to Key West to do some diving. I did a couple of great dives and when I got back to my rental car, I had 3 voice mail messages. We lost our contract at work. About a dozen people were affected. I spent the rest of my last day there trying to rearrange my flights and rental car return to get back sooner to talk to people about my options. It was rough - I was able to get an early flight out of Fort Lauderdale but that''s nearly a 4 hour drive from KW. I had to scrap my existing ticket and go with another airline. Of course, my rental car was expected back at Miami. Suffice it to say, I got all my new arrangements done around 10PM and had to get up at 11:30PM to get to the airport in time for a 5:45 flight home.
Long story short... same job, same desk, same phone number, different employer. Unfortunately, this new work requirement is going to keep me SWAMPED for the next 3 months.
I''ll try to check-in when able though. Working on wedding plans and I will undoubtedly need help/advice/suggestions!
