I''m thinking about changing out the ribbon sash on my dress, but hate the $120 price quote that my bridal salon gave me, especially since I only paid $300 for the dress. Is there anywhere I can find a sash that''s a little more reasonably priced? I would like it to be ivory or champagne.

OH! Try a craft store! Get some cloth and have a seamstress make it or try theknot.com many of them have them for sale after their wedding. Also craigslist and ebay. I''d go with someone you know or a seamstress to sew a new one...shouldn''t have to much of a price tag on it!

go to a nice fabric store and pick your fabric. They usually have seamstresses that work in the store, and have it made however you want.

That''s a great idea, Lala! My bridesmaids did that when they decided they wanted wraps. They bought fabric at a fabric store and a woman who worked there offered to sew the wraps for around $20 a pop. It was a great deal, especially considering the seamstress they were using quoted a $65 per wrap price. I''m no seamstress but $65 for a rectangle of fabric?!? Pshaa!
