where to buy diamond butterfly?

Thanks to those who posted on the circle of life, is it dated thread.

I have decided against that. I think I'm going to go with a diamond butterfly instead. I don't care trendy or not, I just love love butterflys. I even have a butterfly picture on my credit card! I have butterfly pictures hanging in my house.

So, help me find a diamond butterfly! Where would you suggest online? My budget is 1K. less would be better of course.

I am funding this with a piece of jewelry I sold that had bad memories so I though a butterfly would be really cool and respresent a fresh start :) and actually have some meaning to me. The circle of life is pretty but after reading the other thread responses, it made me realize I wanted something with more meaning :)

edited to add, I just realized my avatar is a butterfly. I picked it out ages ago and never noticed until I posted this thread. How funny is that. I guess it just shows I'm drawn to butterflys!

edited to add, I want a butterfly pendant/necklace (not a ring)

I''ve heard that the "Roberto Coin" ones are very sparkly! Musta been on PS.

I do love your idea of a meaningful necklace, rather than a trendy one!! Hope you can find a coupon or a great deal.

Thats the one! I love it. Did you find it online? I would only want to buy from someone reputable. That pendant is awesome! its perfect.

Does anyone know if the Roberto coin chains are strong enough for daily wear? I know sometimes pendants come with throw away type chains.

Yes, I found it online. I have several Roberto Coin necklaces and the chains are of excellent quality. All of the pieces I have are wonderful.

Bailey, Banks and Biddle has quite a nice selection of Roberto Coin pieces. I don''t know if there is a store near you. They have sales sometimes, too.

You can contact Cachet Collections. I know they discount their RC pieces and will special order them for you. Check them out at cachetcollections.com

Sorry for the late reply. From what I understand you need to get your jewler to order the one you want for you and then he/she will set the diamonds for you.

Looks like you''ve found one you like though, don''t forget to post pics if you get it.
 
Have you tried etsy? They might be able to do something custom for you if you don''t see anything there that you like.
 
Def. check out Roberto Coin. His diamonds are very sparkily. I have the palm tree one and LOVE it. I wear it at least thee times per week. It''s pretty eye catching. People always look at it. . .they think it''s a dragonfly though. lol

I''ve seen a lady wearing that one. I did stare, sorry. It''s just lovely. And I knew it was a palm tree and it was so well done that I knew it wasn''t a "knock off."

Hi!

I love butterflies too! I have two three butterfly pendants now, one is silver from Tiffany''s, so no diamonds on that one.

I have the Roberto Coin silhouette pendant and I just got in July the one I have been coveting since I first saw it years ago, my Simon G butterfly pendant in rose gold and white gold.

I will post pictures if I can find them in my files of both pendants.

BTW, the simon G one is way over the top, at least in my opinion. I totally love it, but I don''t wear it all the time as it''s kind of big.

Here is a picture of the Roberto Coin one I have.

Up until I got the other pendant, this was my all time, favorite piece of jewelery.

I still love love it.

I purchased it on ebay for around $300, qhich was quite a steal. I think it retails for something like $920 or so. I know that Toppers and Maurice Badler will give you a discount of around 20% as they did that before with other RC stuff I bought.

I did see it recently sell on ebay for around $300 as well, about three months ago or so.

Okay I thought of you today at Costco. The have a beautiful butterfly pendant for $699; it is .48 carats and super cute! Not sure if your Costco carries them but worth a look the next time you are there.

Skiippy I was at Costco today! (having rotissarie chicken, ceasar salad, french bread and strawberries for dinner tonight YUM!) and I thought of stopping at the jewelery counter. Then I got side tracked when I saw they had webkins becuase I had to buy a birthday gift and then I forgot to got the counter since I had to rush out for school pickups.

I am at Costco like once a week so I will have to check back before I order the one online.

Did it have a chain with it? Did you happen to catch the diamond clarity/color?

Oh and the price.....$519!! I wonder if its the same one you say? It is so cute. I love it! Plus it came with a really nice wheat chain witha lobster claw clasp!

Thanks for posting about it and scoping it out. I''m really pleased with it and feel I got a real bargain!

Yay! I love Costco jewelry; I got my "prototype" engagment ring there! They have some beautiful items at great prices. They''re not at all like a typical mall store, and some people say the quality of their diamonds rivals Tiffany.

This morning, fresh look at it, new day and I like it more than yesterday :) Its really fabulous.
