Oh, this is similar our problem. FI seems to have been EVERYWHERE... while I, on the other hand, have only been out of the country once (to Egypt). So all of my big-dream-destinations like Greece, Italy, England, Japan... he''d already been to every one of them. All the traveling we''ve done together thus far has been to places one of the other of us have been, so one of us was always in "tour guide" mode.Date: 7/8/2008 9:49:38 PM

We are both well traveled so we want to try something different and original...
a direct flight is 12 hours. we will be booking our honeymoon from SA as we expect it to be cheaper. maybe even book the flights and hotel separately. they are building a new Intercontinental on Mauritius which is supposed to open this October so I''m watching that. I think we should go all out 5 Star on our honeymoon. and then be incredibly broke after! haha. but SERIOUSLY, I so deserve it.Date: 7/9/2008 9:22:44 AM

NoelWR, or other savvy brides - do you know how long the flight is to Mauritius from London??
Bali!! Amazing resorts at great prices... you have the beach, the mountains/valcanos, shopping, diving, surfing, great food, hiking, beach, temples, and elephants!... we went on our honeymoon in June and it was amazing... we can't wait to go back!Date: 7/9/2008 1:32:42 PM

Who knows? I feel like it changes every week.
First, it was Costa Rica. Then I heard that very late October/early November is not the time to go due to the rainy season.
Then it was a two week eastern Med cruise, and I really wanted it to include Istanbul. The one we liked started in Barcelona and ended in Venice.
FI decided that the cruise would be too expensive with flights and excursions. But I was really excited about it!
So now I am still looking into Turkey, and maybe Thailand or something similiar. FI is looking at Costa Rica again. Sigh, hopefully we will make a decision soon.
Any recommendations for Thailand or something similiar? I need somewhere FI can relax, but I won't get bored too easily, which I have a tendency to do.
