block all the faces in the picture?

To respect other peoples privacy
to participate and show the wedding dress, venue etc without putting yourself on the net
Personally I dont mind, I would rather see the picture with blocked out faces then no picture at all, it still gives me an idea of what the wedding/holiday was about.

I love seeing all photos, and I certainly understand posters who dont want to have pictures of themselves or friends/relatives on the net.

If this is in re: to BWW, it was discussed in the recent past and the consensus was that while the bride doesn''t feel comfortable showing her or her wedding guests faces, she does appreciate all of the input and help she received while planning the wedding and as a thank you she shows details of the wedding. I appreciate it. I think that if a group of people helped you decide on party favors, bm dresses, table settings, etc it is nice to see it all put together.

Some people have wild eyed notions of rampant internet paranoia. They seem to think that the mere showing of a face is somehow more dangerous than walking down the public sidewalk where a crazy really can do you in

Personally unless you live in a town of less than 2000 people, and and you named the town, and you believed that someone is actually interested enough in trying to match the face with one of the 2000 (probably more like 200,000) people in your area, and had a reason to do something bad to you, and, and, and.................well, you get the idea.

Yeah, I agree, it''s a little strange, especially since it must be SO TIME CONSUMING. However...to each their own. At least we get to see their dresses and style.

Hehe, it may not be as paranoid as you think.. I recognized one of my classmates from an old PS thread his wife posted about their wedding when I was doing research on sapphire rings.

I honestly would never have known it was his wife and his wedding if I hadn't recognized his face since there wasn't any other identifying info there that would have singled him out.

And honestly, I'm sure some people have come to have friends that they value on PS, or think of PS as a special kind of family, and it's understandable they might want to share their excitement about their wedding dress or latest vacation without putting their face out there. And lets be honest, Pricescope isn't exactly an obscure forum, it's not impossible that someone you know might someday start researching a diamond or colored ring and find their way to this site. And maybe you don't want them knowing how much you spent on that dress/ring/etc.

Hmm, don''t be so sure that no one will recognize you from pictures posted in forums.
