on eBay?

Just curious about this as we seem to hear horror stories regarding some eBay sellers.

I''ll go first: I spent over $3000.00 for a pear tanzanite. It was a beautiful stone and when I had asked a question about it, the seller gave me her phone number so that I could ask whatever I wanted while the listing was current. Also, she had a 30 day money back guarantee and a Feedback percentage over 99%. That was a few years ago and I have since sold the stone.

Anyone else?

I spent $1000 (I think? Maybe $1250? Now I can''t remember for sure!!!) a couple of years ago on my Michael B lace band. I had been coveting one...and it was JUST my size... so I took a deep breath and said "SOLD!" Never regretted it, either!!!

I spent $699 for a pair of red Christina Louboutin slingbacks.

They were sold out of my size in the store, so I had to go online! A European seller was happy to oblige. What a deal!

I love eBay, but I mostly buy things I can't find elsewhere. It's very addictive!

Hahahaha! Christian Louboutins, I mean! Too late to edit my typo.

Boo!

$12,000. A right hand drive Jeep Cherokee that had under 35k miles and was in the UK.

I just recently bought my mom a new Dell XPS M1530 in PINK

for $950! It was a steal and I got 10% off from ebay because I use it so much so I had to buy it!

The most I''ve ever spent for a single item is marrying my husband. That cost me a packet.

Apart from that, it''s been my man''s bad business deals, then after (in descending order) my house, then various tat that I shouldn''t have bothered with, such as illfitting clothing, etc.

I''m wanting to buy my man a new replacement wedding ring for his 40th birthday (he lost his original 2 weeks after the honeymoon), but he tells me he''ll throw it away! Is that the most money I''ve ever wasted? Probably, cause I''m planning on buying it anyway!

Oh Lara,
sweetheart the question is "how much on Ebay" !
You funny girl - I hope you didn''t get your husband, house and everything else on ebay!

Zero. I''ve never purchased anything off Ebay. In fact, I''ve never even looked at something to buy on Ebay.

Hey, I''m in good company! I figured I''d be the only one.

I came really, really close to buying a Tiffany Lucida bezel pendant one time for $1600+ ... but it sold for much higher. Not meant to be! And I still dream of a certain Double Bubble clock that got away. But I guess I''ve never actually spent more than $100 on a single item.

Nothing, nada, zilch though I have thought of buying an Ultrasonic machine :)

ETA Though my FF has bought me a sub woofer for my car on Ebay, makes my car go doof doof though I don't think that counts

I spent around $280 on an awesome vintage Gucci handbag. I never used it so I sold it on eBay for the same amount a few months later!

$0. Ebay scares me.

Less than a $100 on any one piece of clothing.

$400-500
I love ebay, its a guilty pleasure. I''m on there atleast three times a week.

Cash? Probably my 61" Samsung TV! Lovesit!

$600.00 for an authentic Louis Vuitton. I just recently sold it for less, though. The times are tough in the economy....

I don''t trust people enough to spend that kind of money on ebay. Like, I wanna see it with my two eyes (four when I''m wearing my glasses) and feel it with my two hands.

I love ebay. The most I have ever spent on one transaction is $1750 for a T& Co. e-ring set.

Oops, duh, I didn''t see the eBay part...I''ve spent about $50 on a watch or something. I love eBay...most of the time...

Me too. Gives me the heebie-jeebies.

$129

For three textbooks.

Those college campus bookstores were not getting my money!

Vintage Bulova diamond watch for about $800. I was extrememly pleased

Never really gotten into ebay too much, though my mom loves it. Not that I am against online shopping, just for some reason, ebay freaks me out.

I am on ebay all the time surfing, but I rarely buy anything. The most expensive was probably a pair of $25 shoes.
