My max on eBay was $300.- on a SB pave'' ring. I don''t think we''d ever make a big purchase on eBay.

My first ever eBay purchase was the most expensive. $1200 for a replica full sized dive helmet.

Shortly after I made the second most expensive item I ever bought on eBay, my first diamond ring. It was a .63 Marquise cut for $600 about 8 years ago. I loved it to death, until I got my ering and realized what diamonds should be like!

Nowdays I don''t buy alot off eBay.
A USN Mark V by chance?

I bought a brand new snowmobile from eBay in 2004. Great deal, I had spoken to the seller a few times and was confident it was legit. Don''t think I''d do it these days though.

yeah I think it was actually, it was like the helmet Cuba gooding jnr wore in that diving movie

my bf at the time was an Australian Clearance Diver (equivalent to a US navy seal) and I got it for him as a suprise as he always talked about wanting one.

Wow - what an incredible gift... and gf!

I actually did 1 dive in that helmet. I could barely move in it. It took 2 guys just to help me stand. Hard to imagine how the divers worked in that thing.

Great movie... Men of Honor, I think. A friend of mine from the fire dept lost his leg (almost both) while directing traffic at an accident. He had never seen the movie so I took it over to him in the months he spent recovering. You should see him now!

One item was $1200 if I remember correctly. I talked her down to $950ish, and ebay had a 10% back deal going on- up to $100 ... I got it for around $850... I had the item appraised for $3700

I did try to buy another OEC that was around $2300 but I lost the auction by $30ish dollars...

I was SO bummed by that one. I should''ve just put my highest bid in instead of playing the cat and mouse game. OH WELL.

I ebay. A lot.

The most expensive thing I ever paid for on ebay was $2100. It was well worth it! Luckily I have not had any bad experiences. I also have sold some pricey things on ebay. the most expensive thing I sold was $1275 for a bag.

ETA: There was one ring I did bid on that I was willing to pay up to $3500 and I did bid that high, but I lost, waaaah! It was a Ritani eternity band, my exact size 5.5 with 18 diamonds that were .17 cts. each in platinum. I think it ended at over $4000, but the actual price paid was a little over $10K.

Uh, probably $45. It was a model horse that was no longer being made. That was probably 10 years ago - I'm not super comfortable with shopping on Ebay anymore. I don't trust anybody I guess.

It is true, it was the best deal i have ever came across - i took a chance on it... and it all ended right, but so much was at stakes... i am glad it ended up being ok, if the opposite happened, i would have been devastated.

a 5+CT diamond in the VVS and proportions i got with Lemony, well, it was a steal... I am glad I was on the other end!

Aww!! Thanks Treefrog!! It was a great movie, and it is incredible what people can do when they put their minds to it. bf made me watch it over a dozen times as it was an inspiration to them all on the dive team.

I bought a car for $25,500 and it was a pleasant tranaction... I would definately do it again with all the proper precautions in place..
