I see/read a lot of idea for creative ways to propose with a ring however I''m curious about any creative ways people have used to present a pair of diamond stud earrings to their wife/s.o. Please share any ideas you know of.

Without anything specific in mind, the only unusual thing I can think of is to wrap them in an atypical box (something large for example) that way to throw their expectations off. But while that idea is cute/funny, I think it''s rather unoriginal as I''ve done it a million times with other types of gifts.

What about a cheesy dime store stuffed animal ... which will have her scratching her head -- until she looks closer & sees the studs you''ve "pierced" the toy''s ears with?

Or -- even better -- one of those GIANT carnival ones!

I love Deco''s idea. I also love the idea of getting her a jewelry cleaner or a nice jewelry box already stocked with bling.

I''d prefer the stuffed animal with pierced ears though.

What about buying her a bottle of her favorite perfume, then get a lovely thin ribbon in her favorite shade, and tie them up around the neck of the bottle (you could actually push the studs through the ribbon and snap the back on, easy). Put bottle back in box, wrap. Voila! Two fer one!

I did this to my sis....

cut the bottom off a pepsi bottle about 2 inches from the bottom...
color the inside bottom black with paint.
line it with black paper in a roll that holds the 2 halves together...
put more black paper towards the top so it looks like it is 2/3rds full.
Put earrings inside.
put bottom on.

Hand it to her and say Happy birthday :}

My stepfather did this to my mother - she picked it up with a look on her face that said ''What the hell??'' Then she looked closer - ''Ohhhhhhh''...

I sort of like the idea of doing this with something ear-related ... a pair of blingy iPod headphones, maybe?

I am LOVING the stuffed animal idea! Or how tying a ribbon around your pet and sending the puppy to her with the diamonds on the ribbon? I wonder if they''d fit inside a fortune cookie? I love the ipod headphones idea, too! The jewelry box idea is also super sweet.

Another vote for the stuffed animal idea! You'll have to take pictures and show us how you end up presenting the earrings.

Lots of great ideas here folks! Thanks.

I like the stuffed animal idea except for the fact that my wife doesn''t care for stuffed animals. It''s hard to imagine a good reaction from her opening a box to find a stuffed animal. And I doubt she''d look at the ears to find the earrings unless I coerced her by saying something like "But look closely honey." Actually though, perhaps if I got something really small, then the diamonds might be more easily noticeable.

The idea of putting them on a ribbon or something like that on our dog is a nice one. I need to think that one over to imagine exactly how I would do it for the best reaction.
