I just looked at the 10 day forecast for the area of Maine that our wedding will be. It looks like as of now, there will be a mixture of sun and clouds, and the high will be in the upper 70s. As long as the clouds are big, puffy ones, I don''t mind.

It''s been storming here every day for FOREVER it seems, so the sun will be welcome.

I just got my 10-day forecast in my email, and in Pittsburgh it says it will be party cloudy with a 20% chance of rain. With the exception of one day early next week, every other day has a much higher percentage of rain. It has been raining here at least once a day since I''ve been in town...so I will actually be ecstatic if this turns out to be the actual weather on the 12th, but somehow I doubt it =(.

I know what you mean Sabine. For our day they kept saying it was the only day that would be clear of rain in the entire 10 day forecast. I kept telling DH that it was risky if they predict rain before & after because they always seem to be a day off...or just totally wrong! We ended up with it being partly cloudy and overly humid for the morning and the ceremony. It started to rain just as we were taking pics in the park so it wasn''t too bad. There were tornados and severe flooding during our entire reception though. So even if it says "rain" it might just be for a few minutes and/or miss your entire ceremony ;) I hope you guys have really great weather all day though! I''m sure it will be great.

Zoe, I was in ME week before last and it was overcast most of the time I was there. It didn''t rain but it had a beautiful dewy/foggy feel which would probably be gorgeous for pitcures. I hope it clears up for you though!
When I was married there last August, it stormed the night before and rained all morning but then the some came out for the ceremony in the afternoon so don''t worry if it isn''t perfect weather in the morning, it can always clear up.
I can''t remember if you''re going to be having your ceremony or reception outdoors, but if you are, don''t forget your bugspray! It was terribly buggy week before last. If you''re lucky, you''ll have a good breeze on your wedding which can keep the bugs away.
Best of luck!
Mrs

86 days away, but the average are like this...

Typical Weather for September

Here are average weather conditions for the month of your wedding:

Average Temperature:
High: 90°F/Low: 65°F

Clear 10-11 days
partly cloudy 8-9 days
Cloudy 8-9 days

It should be around 70 for a high, 59 for a low.

I''m actually more concerned about the sunset time... our ceremony will start at 6:10 and end at 6:25ish, and the sun sets at 6:33! Our pics will be dark

We may have to buck tradition and take pics beforehand because of this.

Ditto!

I remember looking at the 10-day forecast and seeing "Showers" with the stupid raincloud picture. I was so upset.

Thankfully, it didn''t rain at ALL the whole day. It was a bit cloudy in the morning, but by the time we took pictures after the ceremony, it was gorgeous. I couldn''t have asked for a better day.

we renewed out vows in Southern California. Where it never rains right? Well, imagine my apprehension when it p*ss''d down almost daily before hand. Also, it was the last day in May, when typically it starts getting hot. Even the weather person said it was going to be hot with a chance of shower.

well, guess who got 76 and perfectly sunny? pft to the forecast!

Have you ladies check out that link that was posted on a different thread on this subject? It''s through the weather channel I think.

It''s rainy season in Houston, that''s for sure. My ceremony is outside and only 10 minutes, so I hope God can just give me those few minutes!

You lucky girls with your beautiful Summer & Fall weather! I, on the other hand, have chosen to have a winter wedding! So, on December 27th, I hope it will be beautiful outside and the ground full of snow! I hope its not too too too freezing and I hope my venue is heated effeciently!!

Thanks Mrs! Where did you get married? I think I remember you mentioning it but I can''t remember. We were just there today, in York, getting our marriage license. Afterwards we went out to lunch and then spent the afternoon at the lighthouse where we got engaged (Nubble). I love it there. The weather was gorgeous for most of the day and then it POURED as we were driving back home.

Our ceremony will be outside, on the grounds of a restaurant in York. The reception will be inside. The venue isn''t on the beach side of York but it''s still fairly close.
