What was the worst movie you ever saw?

the only movie I have ever started watching and just stopped because I couldn''t take it anymore was Gigli with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Afflack....the worst!

I walked out of one movie in my life.
It was one of those stupid formula caveman movies staring caveman Nick Nolte, or Bruce Willis, maybe Diehard or 48 Hours.

One thing I love about streaming films on Nextlix is how easy it is to just try new stuff, turn it off, and watch something else.
It is like films on a TV set.

Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale.

I have never cared less about two protagonists in a movie. I still use it as a comparison..."the movie was bad, but it wasn''t Serendipity bad."

2 words:
Battlefield. Earth.

Cable Boy and Troy were the only 2 movies I have ever walked out on.

More recently I fell asleep during Iron Man 2 and 2012.

I also never cared for the Austin Powers movies. Sooooo dumb.

I''m not a fan of stupid/potty humor like White Chicks.

BIG dittos to grease and austin powers.

Eurotrip - couldn't sit through it.

I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of at the moment. Most books-turned-into-movies offend my sensibilities, but I don't find them offensive.

But I'm just not a big movie person. I much prefer a good book and hot apple cider (even in June..)

What....nobody walked out on Dune?

Hubs and I saw it in the theatre. I THINK I recall us seriously contemplating walking out, but doing a lot of laughing and a quiet Mystery Science Theatre bash on it instead. The characters got a lot of giant eye close-ups while THINKING their dialogue, sotto voce. But you did get to see a young Sting without a shirt at least.

And Patrick Stewart when he still had some hair.

I don''t do the theatre much, and never horror ...things like Saw..ick. Save myself the trouble of walking out by just not walking in.

The animated version of "The Hobbit" back in the early 80''s was another real dog.

I fell asleep 10 minutes in to Saving Private Ryan.
To this day I''ve never lasted more than 20 minutes with that movie, I find it incredibly dull.

Ooo, I forgot about this one! Although I didn''t see it in the theater. I hate the story and the outcome of the movie. I showed it to DH when we were dating to show that this movie describes what I DON''T agree in terms of relationships. He agreed.

I don''t know that I can name the absolute worst movie I''ve ever seen, but I''ve seen many over the years that I think fit that bill.

I fell asleep TWICE during All the Pretty Horses. In the theatre. It was BORING.

I''ve walked out and/or turned off movies before when I''ve found them offensive. I walked out of someone''s house when they showed A Clockwork Orange (I think it was that) because it was just too, too vulgar.

Ugh, I have two that I can think of right away:

The Wedding Date with Debra Messing. WHY?

and

The Sweetest Thing with Cameron Diaz (not a fan of hers).

Fortunately, I think only one was rental. I just remember thinking how horrible they were--its a miracle I finished The Wedding Date, don''t think I did finish The Sweetest Thing. Three hours I will never have back! Wasted!

I was thinking I''ve never walked out on a movie, but Saving Private Ryan is the *only* one I can remember not even being able to get past the first 20 minutes like you say. Not because it was dull, but because of the gore and knowing it was based on a true story. Eep. My husband loves the movie. He has the DVD. I will generally stay in the theatre regardless of how *bad* a movie is (recently, Splice!) because it''s so darned expensive.

Never walked out on a movie before but I did make JD turn one off at home..Bully Beatdown or some such nonsense. Other movies we hated we had some kind of compulsion to finish them so we could moan and groan about how stupid they were. Dog Soldiers, Brotherhood of the Wolf and Cabin Fever are ones I can think of offhand. We see Dog Soldiers on SyFy now and again when we''re scrolling thru the satellite guide, so we always stop and spend some time making fun of it.

My parents tape all the weird movies on SyFy w/bad acting and effects..like Mansquito. So we make fun of them about that.

Not that I can really talk-I''m really into sharks, so I rent all the terrible shark movies-like Monster Shark v Giant Squid. That one had Debbie Gibson in it you know.

Got 20 minutes into Sin City and then walked out of the theater. Dumbest movie beginning i''ve ever seen.

Sweet Savior. It was back in the mid-70s. A take off on The Manson/Tate murders and the Manson "family". It was absolutely disgusting. The "star" of the movie ws Troy Donohue {of the beach movie fame}. I got up and walked out, the people I was with stayed and saw it thru.

It was MY definition of pornography. Bloody, violent and no redeeming value. Thank God it's out of print and no-one can find it.

I remember also fleeing the theatre during "The Hills Have Eyes" {original version}. It was so loud and graphic I had to get away.

Oh. In the "really difficult to watch" category - "Monster", the movie about female serial killer Eileen Wournos. Absolutely brilliant performance by Charlize Theron, but wow, I felt SO hopeless watching it. I would NEVER watch that movie again.

Oh, another slash-your-wrists movie - "Tess". And "The Mission". I just wanted to end it all after watching them. SO depressing.

The most recent one was "The Informant". I rented it on PPV and didn''t last through 1/2 of it. It was awful!

Did you have earplugs on??? Its so loud and in your face with all the bombing and machine gun fire I''d find it extremely hard to fall asleep through that. I wouldn''t say it was a dull movie, graphic and horrifying but not dull. Each to their own I suppose.

The only film I''ve fallen asleep to was Naked Lunch, a really bizarre David Cronenberg movie. Can''t recall if I''ve ever walked out on a movie.

I enjoyed District 9 and Cloverfield. I like monster movies with no plot, they''re a no brainer really. I don''t like slasher films like SAW, give too many nutjobs out there ideas.

Letters to Juliet. I actually threw up a little in my mouth.
Wolf Creek.
The Passion of the Christ.
Daybreakers.
Cabin Fever.
The Hills Have Eyes.
Eyes Wide Shut.
Management.

Many more but these ones stand out as being spectacularly bad.

The Omen....I was a young teenager when I saw it and this movie scared me...now, I realize it was TOTAL CRAP!

Quentin Tarantino is one sick puppy.

Splice..we saw it the other day and it was DISGUSTING and not in the creepy movie way, but in a YUCK way

Freddy Got Fingered

Recently, Twilight. So boring, I do not understand what the hype is all about.
I fell asleep on The Aviator in the theatre.
I wanted to walk out of Saving Private Ryan, but I didn''t because someone else had paid for my ticket. I usually have a good stomach for war movies, but knowing that it really happened... So hard to watch.
Similarly, I was not able to watch more than 15 minutes of The Pianist.

The Blair Witch Project.....I want my 90 minutes of life back.

The WickerMan: " The BEES!!!! THE BEES!!! THEY ARE IN MY EYES!!!!! " - that was a truly horrible movie...

... An inside joke between me and my husband... When a Nicolas Cage movie comes out, we look at each other and ask "Does he have long hair ? " If he or I shake yes, we know it''s going to su**.

I hated Tropic Thunder!! I suggested that we rent it. I must have lost my mind. Not funny, just gross

I know that there are more losers that we''ve seen, but fortunately I''ve developed selective amnesia

Miss March was AWFUL. I also thought The Holiday with Cameron Diaz was so lame. My husband and I watched it with my sister and her boyfriend. Now every time The Holiday comes on TBS, hubby and I have to call them up and laugh at how bad of a movie it is.

another vote for signs. that movie was so stupid. blech. i etched it from my memory, thanks for reminding me!
