What was the best vacation you''ve ever been on?

I have so many other places I want to visit, but these are my top 3 so far!

DH and I went to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo in Mexico back when we were boyfriend/girlfriend and just starting to talk about getting engaged. Traveling together was the thing that made us know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we wanted to get hitched.

I was really disappointed when our honeymoon didn''t really compare to that Mexico trip, but it wasn''t because the setting was any less beautiful or time spent with DH less wonderful - it just didn''t have the same thrill, and new excitement about it, since it felt like just another trip (plus I was so darned exhausted from the wedding!).

My top 5 vacations;

1) Paris, France - FI proposed

2) Jamaica - gorgeous beaches

3) La Jolla, San Diego - great hotel suite with 3 balconies - we didn't want to leave

4) Las Vegas - ate too much /gambled too much

5) Barcelona, Spain - great for shopping for handbags & shoes

11 days in italy... the food in florence was amazing - that was my fav city but amalfi and pisa were also very nice... rome is a must see place but I don''t know that I would go back since I already spent 3 days there... I would definitely go back to florence. Venice is nice but a bit like one very big ride with a lot of shopping at disneyworld. I highly recommend getting a car and driving around to the small towns like assisi and san gimingano (did I butcher that spelling? lol)

My Honeymoon... ::Sigh::... Athens, Santorini, Rome, Venice and Florence. It was a magic carpet ride for 14 days

ooh it''s hard to narrow down the best trips, I have a couple:

1) Our honeymoon-London, Singapore, Australia.
2) We travelled around the US when I got my first degree.
3) Any of our trips to Barcelona-plus we got engaged there on one of our trips which makes me love the place even more.
