One of my DD''s breasts is larger than the other by a ful cup size. She is so exasperated looking for a bra. Today she was measured at Leggs Hanes Bali and she is a 32 B (for the larger cup). She tried these silicone inserts for the smaller breast but it was too big and could be seen. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Does anyone know of a bra in which one of the cups pads could be removed? Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated. DD is 16 and at the age where she is extremely sensitive if she doesn''t look just right. She had a meltdown last week because a top she wanted to wear emphaiszed the size difference.

I''m not sure where you are located, but if you go to Victoria Secret or a major department store like Macy''s, you''ll be able to find something for her. This is a really common thing that a lot of women deal with.

What she''ll need is a major push-up bra. Unfortunately you''ll have to take a deep breath because a lot of these have really annoying names like Very Sexy, Sexy Little Things, etc. which is a bit of a pill to swallow when you''re bra shopping with a 16 year old. But, if you get a super padded gel bra from the likes of Victoria Secret or wonderbra, a lot of them have the gel pads you can take out. Gel is a big thing. It looks way more natural.

Good luck!

Ditto to cellosweet. The good push up bras have removable cookies.

Most of us are somewhat lopsided I think- I know I am, and it''s quite noticeable in the way all bras fit- hopefully your daughter doesn''t feel too self concious!

eta - I read the post wrong so I'm deleting. . .sorry.

When I was a teen I was very lopsided. I bought bras that had a removable pad. Remove the one on the larger bust side. so, bigger boob=no pad, smaller boob=pad. It was very close to even then. Obviously the gels and airs and all the new pad options would be more comfortable and probably look better.

btw- basically evened out by the time I was 18 or 19.

I checked VS on line and they do not state that the gel pads could be removed. I guess we have to go visit VS and see. The mall near us (Oxford Valley) also has a Macy''s, Sears, and JC Penneys. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Most girls/women have one breast that is larger than the other (I know I do).

I know there are companies that create bra''s with two different sized ups, although in my limited googling I wasn''t able to find a really "nice" one.

Do you have any bra speciality stores around you? In Lisle IL, out of Chicago, there is a store called Tina''s Closet that has everything--soup to nuts--when it comes to bra. If memory serves, the woman who owns the store actually wrote a book on finding the *right* bra. I have shopped there for years--and I believe once or twice I have seen her deconstruct and rebuild bras...they do custom alteration on bras all the time. Maybe it might be as simple as having an insert sewn in, or as a complex as having two bras in two different sizes sewn together. I don''t know where you live, but I am sure you could call and have them help you over the phone find a good one for your daughter.

This is very common. I saw a special on E and one model got breast augmentation on the smaller one so that she would be even. That obviously isn''t an option here, but I mentioned it so that maybe you can tell your daughter that even supermodels have the same problem. Just leave out the surgery part.

With her being 16 I would not spend the money on custom bras. She will likely grow out of it soon anyway. I agree that the best thing would be one with removable pads. VS makes some, but my stepdaughter insists on padded bras and I know that her pads come out and I am pretty sure that they were bought at a less expensive retailer.
