Roberta Flack -- The First Time Ever I saw your face.

This actually happened to me. I used to walk my son to kindergarten. A car with a red siren on top came down the block I took to his school. I looked at the driver, who was a complete stranger, and felt weak in the knees. I was embarrassed by myself. Since I took the same route, and he took the same route to wherever he was going, I saw him fairly often. He was gorgeous to me. And my heart would be aflutter. My marriage was Ok--not great but not terrible, I enjoyed a certain kind of fantasy.

Christmas Eve. some friends , my husband and myself, went to the midnight service at my church, which I hadn't attended in a long while. Our church is beautiful on Christmas Eve--candlelight service- trees and flowers everywhere. The choir walks down singing and the Pastor is last. Low and behold the pastor is my mystery man, and my knees still shook.

I will not continue the story but Roberta sang that for me.
