here is a pic of mine with 3 pointers, it''s 2mm wide. i wear alone quite often and i like the daintiness of it. however, are you thinking about getting it for a RHR? i know many people like something a little bigger and more blingy for a stand alone RHR. It''s a matter of preference.
Treysar: My opinion is that even the smallest of eternity bands have a simple, classy look when worn solo. Mrssalvo has one that I believe is made of 3 pointers that looked amazing in the hand pictures. Sorry but I don''t know how to attach pictures from other threads...
I take it that you are thinking of moving your e-ring to your right hand and getting an eternity band for your left. I think you will be happy going that route. You have such an amazing engagement ring, you don''t want anything to detract from that. My e-ring is not so fantabulous as yours (its an emerald cut with trilliants) but it is equally difficult to wear with another band. I used to wear it with a VERY narrow gold band that didn''t stand out in any way but I just got an eternity band for an anniversary gift; I moved the e-ring over to my right hand and I love the overall look!
I think it also depends on how much room you have from joint to joint. IMO, On average to short fingers, the thinner/small stone bands are best. On a very long finger with lots of distance from knuckle to knuckle the chunkier eternity bands are perfect.
I was thinking hard(maybe too hard) about this recently because I wanted a band with larger diamonds, but it just didn't look right.
Even though my fingers are smallish (4.75-5.00), they're on the short side with little space between joints.
In fact, I've stopped wearing my e-ring stacked w/ the bezel eternity band and now wear the band alone on the right hand. The other way, I think I was veering towards Stubbyville. Ultimately, it's personal taste but I thought you might like to hear my obsessive thoughts about it.
If you go with the separate wedding band, will you wear it on the left or right hand?
I remember Reena(?) trying to figure this one out. Last thing I read, she was concerned that wearing the e-ring on the right would give the impression of a RHR instead of an e-ring from FI/Husband. Not sure what she finally decided.
