If you could have any diamond, price no object, that kind of thing...

Mine would be an emerald cut, about 10-20 cts, with a culet.

It would be VVS2 clarity or higher, and any color down to 0.

The diamond in this Harry Winston ring is close to what I'm talking about, but mine would be a slightly less square L to W ratio.

What about you?

Only one?

C'est impossible.

Natural
VVS2
Color- RED!!
Asscher
4 Carats

Mine is a 10 carat (at least) D color internally flawless marquise set in platinum with tapered baguettes.

a few years back I saw a Pumpkin diamond on Jewelers Row in Philadelphia. It was beyond spectacular! I want a 5 carat cushion pumpkin diamond I think!

The Dresden Green. *dreamy sigh*

Or the Cullinan II. I have a thing for those huge chunky pears ....

A very pale peachy-pink asscher in double-claw prongs on a plain band, around 7cts will do nicely...

A Type IIA diamond -- D-coloured, square OMC with an open culet, 5+ ct.

4+ carat royal asscher with no trace of warmth.

If it had to be a diamond...

5 carat Royal Asscher. VVS2, D color.

If I didn't have to choose a diamond a 6-7 carat padparadscha sapphire would be my dream.

An ideal cut round brilliant, either F or G, VS1 or 2, three carats.

my ultimate diamond would be a 20 mm x 10mm marquise, of course D IF and cut beautifully..... ( i dont know what depth or ct weight a well cut 20x 10 would be)

it would give excellent finger coverage on my size 9 hand... :cheeky: :cheeky:

A 3 ct round green diamond the color of Kenny's

If it was not for wearing, a 300-ct VVS1 Octavia the color of my avatar.

If it was for wearing drop the zeros and make it a 3-ct.

3 ct OEC, F VS1 set it a leon solitaire setting.

A 4ct robin egg blue asscher

or

a Golconda diamond (even if less cientific, it sounds so much nicer than tye IIa from the old mines of India)

Mine would probably be a 3-4 carat verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry light yellow cushion set in a pendant. I saw a stone once which was seriously the lightest light yellow. It was a radiant, but I'd love a cushion that looked like it.

Tie between:

1) a 2.5 carat August Vintage cushion, I color or better, VS2, set in a Harry Winston style halo

OR

2) a 3.5 carat ideal cut round, H color or better, VS2, set in a 6 prong solitaire or simple pave setting

It seems that I have tons to learn before I could answer this question, but I think a 6 or so ct cushion (antique) D color at least VVS 1 would make my dreams come true. Sigh
