I thought I had found it free online but apparently not. If anyone can find a link, please share.

ENFP
(big believer in how your type impacts how we interpret, interact and communicate)

Ah, okay. It looks like the true Myers Briggs test is trademarked or whatever and costs $49 to take. But there are other, free, similar tests you can take online, that are based on the Myers Briggs test. Below are a couple of them.

ENFJ, which is the same result whenever I took a similar test to the first one I did back in 2004.

DK :))

According to the truity.com test, I match:

ENFP- The Champion (very good match)
ENTP- The Inventor (very good match)
INTP - The Architect (good match)

According to the practicalpie.com test, I am:

ENTJ- Commander

ISTJ. Introversion | Sensing | Thinking | Judging

From my report: "ISTJs are quiet, serious people who succeed by being thorough and dependable. Logical, practical, and realistic, they take their responsibilities seriously and often go beyond the call of duty. They enjoy ordering and structuring their environment and their work. Traditions and loyalty are important to them. They value home, family, financial security, and health."

I would say I agree with most of this! lol

Interesting factoid... I saw a study somewhere in my internet travels that found that some personality types are better suited to retirement / early retirement than others. As I recall, my personality type was reported as well suited!

Which is good, I *am* hoping to retire early... lol

Apparently INFJ's are well suited for retirement too. :)

ESFJ
but I took it almost 10 years ago. I feel like I have changed a lot in the last 10 years, so will retake when I have time.

ESFJ is one of the 16 personality types identified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. People with an ESFJ personality type tend to be outgoing, loyal, organized and tender-hearted. ESFJs gain energy from interacting with other people. They are typically described as outgoing and gregarious.

I remember taking this in my first ethics class in high school... It was on paper then, filling out bubbles like a standardized test. I was an INTJ - the only one in the class (of 35).

Twenty years later - according to the Truity site: INTJ (very good match), INTP (very good match), ENTP (very good match).

I don't put much stock into these TBH. The questions are SO situational, and they don't set up nearly enough context to respond accurately. Whether I strongly agree or disagree with "I prefer quiet", for example, depends entirely on whether I'm with a crowd of strangers or a big group of friends! And I will happily sacrifice *for* my family and friends' health and wellness, but my family and friends' health and wellness always takes priority over strangers' - does that mean that I "always consider the needs of others"?

INFJ - for whatever it's worth.

I think these types of personality tests are too generalized. Out of curiosity I did the two links and I got different results from each one. I think the questions lack the appropriate focus and context to be illustrative.

Yes, I think these tests are too generalized to be too useful if you're self-aware. Interesting and eye opening to people who are not self-aware (I'm thinking of myself in my teenage years).

I'm most often ENTP, sometimes INTP depending on the questions. Back in the day, before I was diagnosed with depression, I think I was ENTJ for a brief stint? I'm definitely more open now, less judgy compared to lots of people just as a consequence of having experienced more diverse experiences compared to most Americans.

On the truity test, very good matches to: ENFJ, ENTJ, INFJ

usually infp, sometimes enfp

I got a "very good" match for ISTJ and ESTJ. Now if I could figure out what those letters actually mean...

So I am too tired to search and take the test now but here is my answer from a couple of years ago or so.

Haha I take this test every time someone posts it on PS and I am sure I get a different answer every time depending on my mood when I answer the questions LOL.

Here are my results.

PROTAGONIST PERSONALITY (ENFJ, -A/-T)

Extroverted 53%
Intuitive 57%
Feeling 53%
Judging 71% (ouch and:oops: )
Turbulent 59%

We have the same profile!

Mine all scored 90 percent and above introverted. Which is probably true.

ISFJ or ISTJ, thinking and feeling are almost 50-50.

When I was younger, I tested as an extrovert. I think having 3 kids has led me to be more introverted with people outside my family. Lol, they take a lot of the people energy out of me! Alone time is very appreciated these days.

INFJ. Interesting that there are several others here, I think we are supposed to be rare.

INFJ. Then I read The Highly Sensitive Person and had some more Ah Hah moments.

ISTP

For me learning there were these types we all fit into was revolutionary.
A huge mystery that had always bugged the hell out of me was replaced with understanding.
For the first time I understood myself, others, and why we are usually not the same.

I worked for a huge corporation that sent me off for a 2-week supervisory training program that started with MB testing.
Then they split us into groups, each with a careful selection of types.
Then we were presented us with problems to solve together.
It was astonishing how well the types predicted how the individuals went about solving the problems.
Very eye opening.

It just occurred to me this experience was the seed of my People Vary thing.
