Food and Wine Critic
Novelist
College Professor

I have a whole lifestyle fantasy tied into the novelist thing... I envision myself living on Nantucket Island, wearing linen pants, and sitting by an open window with beautiful sheer drapery blowing as a I type away on my masterpiece. I also own two beautiful Golden Retrievers in this vision. No idea where this fantasy came from, but I''ve thought about it for the last 5 years or so.

Miami-Dade? I''m with you on that!

I always wanted to be a nurse or a doctor, but in college all the sciences scared me so I took the easy way out.

Looking back on it, I should''ve done it!

What I do now(lobbyist), but for more money and for an organization that would support a heavier travel schedule!

I am doing my dream job, and I love it! After working for someone else for almost 20 years, I have my own business. Being my own boss is the greatest, and I wouldn''t trade it for the world.

I'd host a show on the Travel Channel. Preferably one where they profile 5-star hotels and the host is forced to stay in them.

I would love to work for National Geographic. Not sure of an exact job title...but I just love the magazine and the way it brings travel, science, conservation and so much more together.

Alternatively, I would love to work for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Art Museum in NYC.

Guess I love the prestigious, big name places.

Anything in the realm of Astrophysics. Even just the word fascinates me! One of the colorectal surgeons at work was an astrophysicist prior to studying medicine, and we have the most amazing conversations!!

Forensic Pathology would be incredibly interesting too.
I have taken a few pathology courses through the years in my forensic studies...it is one of the coolest areas of concentration in the forensic science community - along with forensic anthropology - its honestly like playing real life Sherlock Holmes (only with cadavers). It''s a lot of pressure, but oh so fun.

Dream Job: Serologist or Forensic Anthropologist. But getting a PhD at this point is still iffy. I also always wanted to be a mammologist and reserach marine mammals.

Tenured professor at a top research university in the U.S.

I had my dream job - teacher, but if I were about 40 years younger,

- trial lawyer
- mediator

If I was looking for a fourth job now - food and wine critic and/or consultant, or professional ''traveller'' staying at only the very best resorts.

ER physician. Someday.

I have too many. I used to keep a running list of "dream jobs," and it crossed over 30 a few years ago. I wanna do it all, just not forever.
