I work with my little girls (students, not my own)... When one of them reads a new story or word, it makes me smile!

Fluffy books, movies, tv shows. Cleaning the house usually makes me feel a lot better too.

I do somthing for myself- a DIY pedicure or Manicure, a "crappy girl movie" that BF won''t watch with me, a little PS time, I go through my wardrobe and either organise it or start putting new outfits together, I put on somthing pretty like my best dress, jewlery or heels, I go and buy myself a cheap top and then figgure out what can go with it, read a fluffy book, play some games, or go for a walk.

Laughing with my man.

When that fails...or to supplement that: chocolate.

Wow, thank you everyone for the tips! It seems like puppies and cuddling are all time pick-me-ups!

Retail therapy
Working out
Playing with my dogs
Writing in a journal about whatever is bugging me

Now if none of those work...bubble bath and a glass a wine!

DH can make me laugh, watch a sad movie that will make me cry then I feel better and one of my favorites is get out my gemstone dish, dump out the gemstones and just look at them.

Going to watch live music
Thinking about complaining to someone i.e. playing out the dialogue in my head b/c it makes me realize I''m being petty or selfish
Going for a drive with no destination
Playing with my niece
Hanging out with my brother who can always make me laugh
SO

Going home (because home is my haven and I need to leave it at the door)
Crawling into clean sheets

Reading a good book
Venting it out to SO so I can let it go
Doing puzzles! So therapeutic and relaxing...

This is corny, but whatever: I put in the movie ''Pride and Prejudice,'' slip into another world and just forget about everything else.
I LOVE this movie! The music from the dancing scenes makes me want to get up and skip (well, when
no ones home

Actaully, my kids usually get me out of a funk...not because they cheer me up...its more that I am too busy to
think about my own feelings

If I''m feeling blue or in a funk, I like to get frisky with the hubs. Seriously, it is fun, gets the blood pumping, and is nice to know that you''re desired by someone else... and if he isn''t around.. then I put on my tennis shoes and pound pavement on a nice run--- exercise ALWAYS gets my endorphines going... and if I''m REALLY in a funk, I always make myself go for AT LEAST half an hour... that is long enough for me to quit whatever funk I was feeling and actually start to enjoy myself... maybe that is how long it takes for the rush to set in?

Playing and cuddling with my dogs never fails

Keeping proper perspective helps me so much! Not everything is as terrible, tragic, life altering in reality as I seem to make it in my head. Everyday I take a moment to think of 5 things I am TRULY grateful for. It is impossible to feel grateful and depressed at the same time. If things are really bad I journal. I talk things out with friends. Read. Meditate. Eat chocolate. Cry for a limited amount of time, yes I give myself a time limit. Hug my little girl. Watch TV or a movie. I try to stay in the moment and keep my head and feet in the same day. Life is good (most of the time). Life is a lot easier looking at my glass half full than half empty. This is coming from a naturally negative person. Haha.

Diamonds. It''s amazing what focusing on bling will do for my mood. Not to mention actually purchasing and wearing them!

Chocolate!
