My sister and I used to do the same thing! We always had these at my great aunt''s house. I looove Bugles, and I think they do still make them...

Meatloaf reminds me of my childhood, as do stuffed grape leaves and chocolate cream pie. Meatloaf b/c my dad loved my mom''s recipe, so we had a it a lot. Unfortunately, I just do NOT like meatloaf, so I haven''t had it since I was in my early teens. Stuffed grape leaves were an appetizer at virtually all our holiday get-togethers - I love them!! My great aunt would make them small so they looked like cigars (which is what we called them). And chocolate cream pie was a regular dessert on holidays, too. My sister loved the filling and I loved the whipped cream - she''d eat the filling only, and I''d scoop whipped cream out of the bowl.

I loved Bugles too! My absolute favorite was the Keebler Krunch Twists. Oh how I wish those Keebler elves would make those again!

Dude-those Krunch Twists ROCKED!!! Apparently if only 3 people eat them (mom liked them too) they quit making them???

Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls are another treat we used to have as kids. And those little sandwich cookies.

ETA: we used to get these 5 cent lollypops..they were like little balls on a stick and had one color on top and one on the bottom. I don't remember if they had a name. They weren't like regular suckers. LOVED them

I was raised by hippies, but not vegetarians! What a healthy upbringing you had!

Childhood regulars in our house:

Kraft (not generic, not Velveeta, we were VERY specific) Macaroni and Cheese

Hot dogs (often in conjunction with, but not mixed IN with Mac''n''Cheese)

Hi-C Fruit Drinks and Juice Boxes (remember Ecto Cooler?)

Freeze Pops

Frozen Chicken Nuggets (Bleh!)

Frozen Fish Sticks (Double BLEH!)

For me it would have to be ''fat frogs'' an apple flavoured ice lolly formed in the shape of...you guessed it, a frog.

I had lots of hamburger helper (and tuna helper, I think even a chicken helper?) growing up. It''s just a package that has everything you need to make __________ except the meat. So you cook everything up, throw in the meat, and you''re done.

I just made my first apple butter and bread at our Apple Fest celebration this weekend. They were DELICIOUS!
I actually found these adorable ceramic fall-colored loaf pans for $1 a piece at Michaels, so I bought those and little ceramic teacups and the kids and I made mini loaves and put the butter in the teacups and sent them home with everyone. They were so cute!
