Yesterday i recieved news that my favorite aunt died(at 92 from natural causes)and it bruoght memories of her back .
Her condo furnished with genuine ming dinesty art,her crazy loud laugh, her great taste in tiffany and vintage jewelry (and how she dropped her tiffany turquiose pin in jewelry cleaner overnight and it turned the blue turquiose green)and her kind and caring nature, always helping people with food ,money and a good word never judging them for their short comings....she never said anything mean about a single person!
MY QUESTION TODAY IS...what do you want to be remembered for by your family and friends?

I am sorry for your loss.

As for your question, I can''t control what people think so try not to think about it.

The people who like & love me say they do because I''m compassionate and have a wicked sense of humor. Soooo, I would be perfectly happy to be remembered as kind & funny, or even kind of funny in the one brick short of a full load sense.

When my aunt died tragically just about a year ago I remember thinking of her laughter, her faith, and her kindness. Everyone I talked to remembered her the same. I think it must be the best way to be remembered.

But, I''m sure I''ll be remembered for corny jokes, raised eyebrows, and clumsiness.

So sorry for your loss. She sounded like a wonderful person, full of personality!!!

I don''t want to think of what I will be remembered for, I have too much living to do ....

Lord willing..

I try to take this approach one day at a time. Each day I try to make a point of doing something especially kind and unexpected for a stranger. They''re never going to remember me, but maybe they''ll remember that kindness and share it with someone else.

I''d also like to share one of my favorite quotes: "I teach. I touch the future." ~Krista McAuliffe

I like that train of thought!

I am sorry about your loss.

I actually worry about what people think of me. I would hope my students (I teach astronomy) will always love looking at the stars. My family and friends I would hope would remember some of the good times and laughs we''ve had. Anyone else I guess it wouldn''t matter to me.

First - I''m very sorry for your loss.

I''d want to be remembered for my honesty.
I''d want to be remembered for my efforts to make a difference in the lives of others, as a family member, a friend, and a member of my community. For my efforts in volunteering, fund raising, helping friends, listening, sharing, and giving.
I''d want to be remembered for my deep love and knowledge of horses.
I''d want to be remembered for my love of all things fashion.
I''d want to be remembered for my love of animals in general, and my deep rooted instinct to help animals in need. I''ve rescued my fair share so far and plan to keep doing so, I also work really hard to help any animal in distress.... save maybe roaches... but they''re another story.
I''d want to be remembered for my love of art.
I''d want to be remembered for my intelligence, and love of learning
I''d want to be remembered for my love of life
I''d want to be remembered as one of THOSE couples... the ideal.
I''d want to be remembered for my cooking

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is always hard to lose a loved one.

I''ve been thinking about this lately. A death in my family and much illness.

I''ve been out of high school for just over 5 years now and will be 25 in March.

What have I accomplished? What do I want to accomplish? If I were to die in an accident or cancer (very present in my family) what would people remember me for?

I don''t really have a great answer. I used to volunteer many hours and was active within my community. Then I moved from a smaller town where I knew everyone for a mile in any direction to Redmond. So many people. Never enough time to volunteer like I used to.

I usually just live my life the best I can trying to make other peoples lives better if I can.

If I had to make a list (which I really should so I have something to work towards), I think I would like to be remembered as:

A kind person always willing to offer help. A good friend and wonderful listener. Well educated. Had a career that I liked and did well in. A good cook with a door always open to guests.

So do I.

That being said, I imagine that I''ll be remembered for bringing people together. I host and facilitate a lot of gatherings, from big parties to intimate meals, and I love bringing different people together.

I''m sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss but happy for your memories!

I hope that people see me as kind and compassionate to those different than me.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I would like to be remembered as someone who loved. Friends, family and folks who needed to be loved.

Sorry for your loss. At least she got to live a long and interesting life.

I am sorry for you loss. I was thinking about my grandma the other day and how much I miss her - she was spunky and before her time with a big heart. She died 25 years ago and it still makes me sad and leaves a hole in my life.

I want to be remembered for passion, I am passionate about my profession (social work) and am passionate about ensuring that social work students get the education they require to be as passionate as I am. We all have a change to change the lives of those who are less fortunate and we need to remember that it easily could be us in the position of needing help. I am passionate about my husband and family, it look me a long time to find love and I hope that people look at us as a couple and think "gee i want what they have".
