So... what do you do to relieve stress?

Heya! I will start...

I''ve been having lots of trouble with my mobile phone server (them double billing me, not fixing it, me calling them 3 times and nothing is done still

, them charging me calls which should have been included in my cap

), mortgage stuff, wedding stuff... Currently i feel like this----->

On top of all that, my job/project is SO boring... AARGH

The one thing I am looking forward to, that will lift my spirits is my YOGA session tonight!

For me to destress, I take about 1 glass of wine and I watch my betta, Samson. If that doesn''t work, I take a bottle of wine and then head for a bubble bath. That one hasn''t failed yet!!

Gardeners don''t suffer from stress!

I . . .
- Play with our puppy and kitties
- Lean on DH until it passes
- Do something physical, like roller skate or run or bicycle
- Watch one of my favorite movies
- Listen to my favorite music

It depends on the kind of stress, but some things I do are

-Window shop, walk around somewhere. This is going to sound strange, but it makes me feel at ease when I''m "alone" but still around people.

-Take walks with DH

-Our faith has a prayer service called Compline which I find extremely calming in the evening before bed. It has a very meditative feel to it.

-Manicure/pedicure/massage

-Bake

-Exercise

-Read

-Listen to music and curl up with the kitties

-Watch movies

Oooh, yes. Baking is a *great* de-stressor.

I find anything that takes my attention is de-stressing. I love to play the piano, exercise, bake, take a drive...anything that makes me focus on something other than the cause of stress!

- Cuddling with DH always seems to relax me
- A glass of wine usually helps

- Listening to music
- Taking a long, hot shower

I clean my jewelry.

Glass of wine, bubble bath..... and my dirtiest nastiest rap playing extremely loud. It calms me in a very weird way.

yoga or a nice glass of wine, or if I''m really stressed a good cry

Run

De stress for me:

Jogging if I''m angry stressed

Yoga

reading

a beer

ice cream

watching a movie

cuddling with my two dogs

cuddling with SO

a nice brisk walk outside

baking

cooking in general

Play with my two dogs.
Clean the house.
Read.
Go on a bike ride with DH.

exercise
talk to someone about problems/what's causing me stress (in other words vent)
booze
sleep
look up stuff (like jewelry) on the internet

Cooking
playing cello aggressively and loudly
crazy cleaning spree
good sex

basically anything that takes some work and has a good end result making me feel like I can accomplish something wonderful. haha

Drink

Hot bubble bath
Hang out with friends

Bake. Cookies, muffins, brownies, cakes, whatever.
Eat. (eat while baking and then burn myself on the fresh out of the oven yummy stuff)
Clean
Pull weeds
I''d snuggle with FF if he''d hold still

Right now the yard waste bin is full, the laundry is ALL done, we just finished the muffins & still have a half dozen orange flan waiting for us. Oh yes. And the loaves of bread.

It''s not working.

A glass of wine or a nice beer is a great de-stresser

I love playing with my bunny, Otto. Just watching him run around gets rid of stress, but even better is interacting with him and training him. Animals are fantastic for stress relief.

Wow thanks for all your responses!!

i notice that baking and cooking seems to be popular for stress relief for the ladies.

I love it too!!! This is why I cook dinner for Fi every night! I enjoy creating flavours. Oh... and in the house right now, we have white chocolate cupcakes, dark chocolate cupcakes, almond cupcakes with chocolate shavings on top. I go plenty crazy with baking cupcakes when I''m stressed.

Chamo tea, spa days, a good long shower with fancy bath soaps, or tea party with a friend.

There are a few things, I take a nice long bath, work out, or listen to music. If I'm mad I listen to The Doors and if I'm sad it's usually Otis Redding, anything Motown or by The Beatles...

I had a bad day and I'm stressed about school so The Doors it is tonight and then off the the Jacuzzi tub!

I''m envious.

Yah, a jacuzzi bath tub. It is seriously the best, I''ve had back problems in the past and nothing is better than sitting in the tub with the jets blasting! It''s a must.

I bake. I find that creating something is soothing, and nobody gets mad when cupcakes and cookies randomly show up
