What do you bring to PS?

We have seen where people have their niche but what do you think you bring to PS?

For me its friendship.

I don''t have the knowledge to help people choose diamonds. I can''t help in things to do with money, credit cards, buying houses etc because I am in a different country to most of you. I enjoy reading about people''s lives and offering support where I can.

Hi Maisie,

Due to lack of real diamond knowledge I would perhaps say a British or European perspective?!?

I have an appreciation of diamonds but I realize other than being able to say "oooh thats fab and sparkly" probably no real substance. So it has to be more on the personality input. Haven't been here long enough to have given you a real flavour of me or even what makes me me.

I intend to be around for a while, I love it here so who knows.

gonna be totally honest. i''m here to learn. i appreciate all the effort and knowledge on this forum. i love all the design ideas, learning about various cuts, and now pearls. if someone asks about something specific that i love (tension designs, sholdt.. haha), i''ll try to help. other than that, it''s purely for selfish purposes.

I give a ton of credit to Lorelei, Karl and a few others that are always willing to help and answer all questions. hoping they stay here for a loooong time.

I contribute so much to family, friends and my work, that I guess I come here to get away, and have never really made an effort to reach out to any PS''er. even though there are some that I would love to meet one day.

This is a great forum. It has so many flavors that everyone can find what they''re looking for. Some will contribute, some will learn, others will just lurk, and many make friends.

Here''s hoping it''s around for years to come.

At the moment I can relate to those who are currently waiting to get their finished ring back from the jewelers and then knowing we have it once it's here but not being able to wear it. It seems like torture!

But mostly to soak up all the diamond information like a sponge! In the past two days three people thought I worked in the industry!

I know almost nothing, I just am on PS so much that I recognize things and terms.

I don''t feel comfortable giving advice in RT or in CS -- I know I''ve learned a lot in my time here, but I''d rather leave the advice giving to the pros. I guess I also offer a peek into the random thoughts that swirl in my head when I start or comment on meaningless threads.
