It''s too absorbent - clogs the toilet. I do love their commercials with the bears playing football though.

Like shampoo, I just buy a huge package of whatever Costco has.

I buy whatever that''s on sale.

I prefer Quilted Northen or Scott (whichever is on sale) I tried to go very cheap once, but end up using more, so in the end it wasn't cost effective anyways

Cottonelle...the lab puppy did me in!! Been lucky that they''re been on sale whenever I go in too!

Charmin Ultra. The red kind. I tried some of the others, but keep coming back to this one. Now I don''t even bother to check the other ones, even when the Charmin isn''t on sale. Hubby likes it best too, and his behind is worth the few extra bucks!

If you live with someone else, do you both like the same brand/type of TP?

I buy two-ply double roll. Whatever is the best price. The other day, I bought Target brand. . .last time I bought another. . .I forget what it was.

quilted northern ultra plush.... its like wiping your hiney with heaven

We use Scott Rapid Dissolving Toilet Paper, not to be confused with other Scott TP products.

We had toilet clogging issues a couple of years ago, and the city came out with a camera and scoped our line. There was a crack where the the TP caught and piled up, and there was this mountain of TP clogging the line. Rather than dig up the front yard for $6K to fix the crack, we switched to TP that dissolves. Problem solved.

Good Grief DF, what on earth are you doing with all this data you are amassing!

Newspaper works just fine

You are both such bad-asses!

My uncle grew up on a farm.
They still had outhouses and they had never seen toilet paper.
They used dried corn cobs.

Ouch!

We use wet toilet paper - its an European thing

Oh man! This place!
First I read about feminine sanitary napkins, then toilet paper, now roids?

Y'all could make a sailor blush.

Well you started it about using dried corn cobs, ha ha ha ha ha

I know; it's all good fun.

I recently heard that around 100 years ago a man named Scott invented toilet paper.
It was a hard sell.
People had gotten used to using pages from their old Sears Roebuck Catalog.

It was the advent of modern drains and plumbing that got people to switch to toilet paper because it dissolved in water and didn't clog up the drain, unlike the paper from Sears catalog.

You ask the weirdest questions DF.

that's exactly what BF says!

i'm not picky over TP, but he sure is. BF grew up poor and his parents could only afford to buy the rough 1-ply kind, so i understand. nowadays, i have to adhere to his "strict" rules to either buy Charmin Ultra Soft or Quilted Northern Ultra Plush because "only 2 or more ply will touch my butt!"

he's totally like this guy:

Royale.. the kittens are soooo cute. If not on sale I''ll get Shoppers Drug Mart brand.

whatever is on sale and 2-ply.

I don''t do 1-ply

Ja! That is the generic brand here in Frankfurt- I like whatever is cheap. In the states I try to get a name brand, like charmin or kleenex, but whichever is on sale or at BJs

I don''t mind the brand, but I want soft and plush

most 2-ply are too thin and you''ll end up using more papers. we just wait for a Charmin sale and stock up. my daughters eats TP for lunch.

Damn you man, you made me get up off the couch and go look

Charmin Ultra Strong, Mega Roll. I used to just buy what was 2 ply and cheapest that week, but once I tried this I''ve never gone back.

1. Super thick so you use MUCH less TP.
2. Super soft so my tushie is happy.
3. Best of all IMO, the mega roll means you don''t have to put up a new roll very often. It just lasts and lasts
1.gif

and just to reiterate, there is only ONE acceptable way to roll it - over the top baby!
