PS
I thought of an embarrassingly long list while reading everyone's posts. I think I need to work on that.
My number one guilty pleasure is coloring books. That's right I am a 28 year old woman who loves coloring books! No one (including small children) is permitted to touch them. At least I have the decency to hide this one from most people.
I also watch way too much tv, I especially love Judge Judy
Lastly, I love Sunday afternoon naps more than any person should. I actually become giddy in the car on the way home from church thinking about nap time.
I have lots of little pleasures, but I refuse to feel guilty about them. They are the little things that make life fun and just well, nicer! No guilt attached, if I make the decision to indulge in something, I like to enjoy it.
The little pleasures I enjoy are
looking at shiny things on the internet (no kidding! )
Really good food
Cooking
facials and manicures
knitting (I can spend hours knitting something, get totally lost in a complex pattern)
playing in the sandbox with DD. I like that better than she does
Diamonds and jewelry, of course!
Good quality clothing and shoes. I love a good sale on Jones New York clothing.
Premium quality foods. I definitely spend a small fortune on the things we both like to eat.
Movies, either renting or going to the theater.
Yankee Candles. I burn them all year long except in the heat of the summer. I spend about $50.- a month in their store from Oct. to April.
My actual guilty pleasure? Reading entertainment news like People, Us, and Star magazine. I do that every now and then when I get overwhelmed by all of the serious stuff I have to do.
Another actual guilty pleasure? Browsing the Internet, planning my next jewelry project. That always takes a lot of time.
