We''re adopting a dog!

He''s serving as our other dog''s companion as well as a "mommy''s boy" to counter the "daddy''s girl" syndrome my dog has adopted (although she stayed up with me for yoga last night while HE went to bed with SO lol). His name is Scout, he''s estimated to be 3-4 ish? He is from a local rescue, he and a female were found wandering. I think he might have some former trauma b/c he''s very scared of being picked up, but is sweet as can be, LOVES me and LOVES my other dog. Here''s a pic! WE ARE EXTATIC that this worked.

Skippy & Steel - Thanks! We definitely wanted to adopt and definitely wanted an adult which was good b/c they are harder to place. He''s a cutie and so sweet. He does show signs of possible abuse, he''s scared to be picked up and makes silly faces when you do (nothing mean just holds his mouth open?, vet gave ok though), but he is such a sweetheart and loves to get in your lap or sit behind you on the chair and he loves our other dog and they play play play all the time. We''re really excited about him.

I hate to think of any animal being abused.

That said, rescue animals IMHO can more often than not, make great pets because they are grateful of a home.

God bless them, animals deserve every bit of happiness in the world.

I hope Scout settles in with you in no time.

Yay, congrats!!! I adopted my dog and he is the best, not to mention an absolute momma''s boy! He came from an abusive home too, he actually turns five this weekend. I love to hear of people adopting pets. He''s such a cutie, and the momma''s boy thing is the best

My rescue dog Lily can''t stand for me to touch her paws, even now after I have had her for 6 months. Who knows what these little doggies have been through. I''m sure your new dog just loves having attention and a little friend to play with too!

aww thank you all so much, we just love this little boy. I''m attaching a pic of him with our other little girl. He has definitely taken to me more than him but he''ll go to SO too. He likes treats hehe.
