So I keep hearing about how lucky and popular this weekend is for weddings because it''s August 8, 2008 (08-08-0. Are any of you ladies attending weddings this weekend? I know I am and I''m super excited!

Actually this year has been quiet on the wedding front. There were no weddings at all (one planned but fell through)

2009 is the year. I have my own wedding, best friend, 2 coworkers, and 2 cousins.

Just a shower this weekend, but her wedding will be next weekend (she wanted her out of state sisters/mother to be able to attend both events). Then two weeks after, another of our really close friends will be getting married.

Also, there was one in June, and I am a bridesmaid for my cuz in October. Whew!

I am not attending any, but I have a friend who is getting married today (like- right now!) and I know of many many others. Just like last year on 7-7-07.

I don''t personally know anyone getting married today but I know two couples that got married on 06-07-08 which I didn''t pick up on the significance until well after their weddings had passed. Sometimes I''m a little slow...

I did see a bridal party taking photos out on the end of the the island my hometown is on. It was funny that I saw them out there because as I was driving through the entrance of the park I thought "THIS is where FF and I will be taking our wedding photos one day!"
