We are only inviting 20 people (10 couples/invitations) to our wedding so we don''t want to order traditional invitations. A recent bride magazine had a great suggestion of hiring a calligrapher to make handwritten invitations, but I''m wondering where to get the card stock? Also, should it be completely plain? At most, it could only have a very small embossment because the calligrapher will need all of the space for the wording. Does anyone have suggestions? We are getting married at a riverside inn in South Carolina lowcounty in December.

Thanks

Maybe you could consult with a caligrapher first to see what type of paper restrictions he/she would have?

As someone who does basic calligraphy, it''s very difficult to do on handmade paper. Usually you want a cotton rag paper and it''s best to ask you calligrapher what paper stock they recommend.
