Wedding Wedding Date Significance???

My wedding date is my parents'' wedding anniversary.


It would have been their 36th wedding anniversary, except my dad passed away when I was 12. My Mom never re-married, and she was very touched when we chose their anniversary.


I wouldn''t have it any other way, even f it means we''re getting married Friday nght as opposed to Saturday night. I can live with that.

Ours will be on my parents wedding anniversary too (31-12-2010).

My mum died when I was 12 so it holds something really special to me and my dad.

Many people think its silly to get married on NYE but I think its really romantic- starting the NY as a married couple

i'm not even engaged yet, but we've thrown around some ideas and we like the idea of getting married on 1-2-2010 for similar reasons...we find it romantic to start out the new year as a married couple. also, it will fall on our 3-year anniversary!

hopefully, this is the date we actually end up choosing.

we are getting married on May 2, 2009. We had our first date on May 5, 2006 and got engaged on April 30, 2008, so we thought this date fell right around our engagement and dating anniversary!

he was a trucker when we met. we''re getting married on 10-4.

did you just luck out with that day being a saturday or did you guys have your heart set on that date no matter the day of the week? that worked out perfectly - what a great story!

we kind of lucked out. long story short, we met in 2002 and were friends for almost five years before we started dating. very early in the relationship we knew we''d be getting married (talked about marriage after a month or so, were engaged after 5 months). when marriage talk first started we thought of the date october 3, 2009. we often incorporate ''10-4'' in conversations (''can you get me a drink please?'', ''10-4''), so one day i said ''why don''t we change the date to ''10-4''. we checked a calendar and learned that the next 10-4 saturday was this year. works out well because we really want to be married. bonus that it makes for a good story!!

We were married on 3/9/06, and kinf of under the gun. But, I'm a numbers gal, and loved that the date is multiples of 3.

Also, we first started dating the first day of June, so 6 has always been special to us.
