p.s...i should probably say that i know the sashes don''t completely match in colour and that the black bm on the left is not very black but i hope you get the idea....sorry for babling....

Sorry forgot to mention....if you don''t prefer either any suggestions would be good....thanks

The pink and blue dresses/sashes are ok but what color flowers? The gray/black/pink/blue combo is way too much in my opinion.

I would stick with one color bridesmaid dress and one color sash.

You could do a more neutral color dress like the black(for everyone) and then have the maids with different color sashes. That would be a good way to have variety without it being too much.

Does that all make sense?

Ditto Oobie.

With the different color dresses, sashes, and different length dresses, it seems busy to me. Keeping them all tea length if you like those color combinations, or to the ground, whichever you prefer would be my suggestion.

I agree, the BM dresses should be all long, or all short, not a combination of two lengths. Personally, I don''t like either color combo, but I especially do not like the black with those color sashes. You have too many colors that all vie for attention, rather than having colors that blend and just one that "pops."

I think whatever you do, at least one main element of the dresses needs to be the same across the board. All one length or all the same color, for example. If I understand you right, the gray looking dress is actually supposed to be black, right? I think you could pull that look off - black dresses w/ colored sashes - but I would make either the sashes or the lengths the same. What are your reasons for wanting the 2 dresses to be different - to bring in the colors, to distinguish your MOH...? If the motivation is just to bring in your colors, I think you could use the blue color for the sashes and bring in the pink with their flowers. You want your girls to look great and put together whether they''re standing alone or as a group, and my fear is that with so much color going on in different combinations, it could end up looking messy rather than well thought out. Same goes for the guys - they could do blue ties and pink flowers. If you want each guy to be a little unique, maybe you could find ties w/ subtle pattern difference in the same color?

Maybe something like this? I love that the color pops, but nothing is distracting or hard to take in all at once.

Ok, here''s a photo that might help w/ visualizing it. With all the girls there, the MOH stands out and you think "ah, that''s the MOH". Cover up the girls on the left, though, and the two girls left on the right end up looking mismatched. To me, it''s distracting. All I see are them (the bright pink dress, in particular) and not the bride.

Whoops, photo didn''t load for some reason

Thanks for everyones input....a big thank you to Ladyciel...you seem to be the only one that get that the ''supposedly gray dress was meant to be black but because they are different dresses the black looks different on it! I really like you suggestions and this is the very reason i ask for all your ladies help...thanks again

P.S....i just wanted to say that the two sets of bridesmaids are not all meant to be in the wedding i only have 2 BM''s but i put both options on the one pic! also the reason i put on BM iin short dress and the other full length is bcoz one of my BM''s wants shorter length while the other wants full length. personally i am going to insist she have a full length as june is when i''m getting married which is Australia''s winter!

anyways thanks for all your help....i will prob post another mock up and post soon.....

which do you prefer ladies the black with blue sash or black with the pink sash?

I like the blue sash. But those colors, fuchsia, and turquoise are my wedding colors so I am a bit biased. I think that fuchsia and turquoise look awesome together for summer colors but since its winter I think the black witht e turquoise would be best!

I agree with the blue sash. You can always bring pink in with flowers!

I was thinking about doing fuchsia dresses and turquoise sashes. It looked awesome the colors really popped but I chose to do turquoise dresses and pink flowers instead.
