We adopted a Kitty from the SPCA :)

My husband and I have been talking about getting a cat for a while,
but never really did anything about it We have been going to the
SPCA every weekend for the last 2 months or so to get acclimated with the
feline kind

My husband was really worried about getting a cat, when he grew up, his
parents were not really animal lovers, so he never got to be around them
that much so he was a little unsure. Until...........

We see this beautiful kitty, looking at us with her bright green eyes
the curliest whiskers and the double mittens/paws. Ah!!! She took us over!
After spending time with her and understanding her special diet requirements,
( she tends to get stressed and overgrooms herself, so she is on Green peas
and Duck food for low inflammation ) we decided to adopt her.
We got her a cat post/condo which she loves! And is very much adopting to her
new surroundings and us too She is a cuddle bug and so tiny. She is only 6
1/2 pounds! We love her so much!!!
After having her in our home for 1/2 a day, we decided to re-name her...

Adopting from the SPCA is a great thing. so many kitties needs a home. She needed a stress free home without other cats
and dogs. We could provide that to her, so glad we could

My DH grew up in a home with 5 boys and no cats (ever). He didnt think he was a cat person until a
girl friend moved out of the country and left him her himalayen. You should have seen my DH with
that kitty...OMGosh how he pampered him, brushed him and give him kitty treats. That cat got more
attention then I did

! We sooo loved that kitty. He is in kitty heaven now but it made me love
my DH that much more to see him be compassionate about a helpless animal.
