Hey eveyone.. just went to see War of the Worlds..hmmm very interesting. I liked it.. but I also love Rambo, Conan the Barbarian, Lord of the Rings, Independance day etc.

The only problem is that everytime TC said anything stupid I kept thinking about the Scientology buses he parked around the set.. LOL..

It had some quite.. errie scenes that are not quickly forgotten!

Thanks, Mine!. We''re going to the matinee tomorrow (before the mobs descend on the theater).

I saw it too and I enjoyed it, but there were some parts that I found just too unbelievable (will not be more specific for those that have not seen it). However, I love many of H.G. Wells works and even though the movie strayed a bit from the book I thought it captured human hysteria successfully.

I just went Friday nite to see it and it was ....interesting to say the least!!..not going to comment further for those who havent seen it yet...

Mine!! I agree about some of the scenes..!!! very creepy..

Just got back from matinee. If you want a fairly mindless, action-packed summer blockbuster with a big bucket of popcorn, this is it. I was entertained and I underscore the creepiness and distrurbing nature of many scenes. NOT for children <13 IMO.

I knd of want to see it since two of my favorite movies growing up were Top Gun (I come from a family of pilots who spent thte movie correcting it

) and A Few Good Men.....I loved those movies and Tom was my hero... I liked Minority Report okay but I am not sure about this one.

I will not be seeing it, I won''t give one dollar to that psycho Tom Cruise''s paycheck!!

I wanted to see Mr and Mrs Smith but DH wanted to see War of the Worlds. Interesting, very scary, thought the ending was a bit anticlimactic...was that Morgan Freeman doing the voiceover? Could NOT stop thinking about what a moron TC has been, and I used to really enjoy his movies. Now he just makes me mad, abusing his star power to spout nonsense...

My thoughts exactly. I''ve just been too sick of him from all the over exposure. However, even if he wasnt being like that...this isnt really the kind of movie I''d end up seeing anyway.

Dimondfan...my friends and I were so excited to see Mr & Mrs Smith and left the theater pretty disgusted with it. Too much violence, pointless violence, no real plot. If we weren''t in the middle of a packed aisle we might''ve left. I guess I''m not the kind of person that laughs at people getting beat up though -- which I found was the majority of the "laughs" in the movie. I''m surprised it got the reviews it did. Just my opinion though.

Blue: The previews make it look so sexy and stylish...and I admit I want to see the famous chemisty between them. It looked like a farce type moive, a bit like the one Anjelica Huston and Jack Nicholson made, Prizzi''s Honor. I think maybe the concept is funny but they got too violent in making it. I hate it when they go over the top! I like some of those blockbuster type summer films, LOVED Independence Day (I am Will Smith fan) and I like great action and effects, but Wof the W was a bit creepy and non stop freakish stuff for me. Underneath it all, I guess I still favor a great comedy or romantic comedy (yes, I am a sap!)

Same here! Not seeing War of the Worlds. TC is a freak and I cannot imagine watching his annoying face up on the screen for two hours.

My husband has surprised me in that he's become thoroughly amused by the whole TC saga. Usually he makes fun of me for reading people mag, but after I posted a few stories up on the computer for him to read, he's become fixated on all this silliness. He also isn't wanting to see this movie. Waste of $20.

I didn''t like the movie at all, I didn''t really think there was much of a point to TC''s character. We saw it on bootleg so maybe it would be more interesting on the big screen. If Dakota Fanning screamed one more time I thought I was going to have a permanent migraine. I did like watching her more than TC though.

I am another who refuses to give that nutcase my money! what a crackhead

Alright...and how many saw Batman Begins??? I admit I saw it

Actually, hubby wanted to see Batman Begins and I wanted to see War of the Worlds (this desire came PRIOR to his antics on Oprah and all the bad press that subsequently followed), nevertheless I saw it
