Dogmom - thank you absolutely so much for that information!! That is very good to know, and it does help a lot. Hehe when I go to the donate page, there''s a man''s name and a woman''s name over on the side by the puppy''s picture - I''m guessing you''re the woman, at the bottom? I think this is something I''d really like to look into.

We were there at lunch Wednesday - we were in the visiting room with Edison on the left towards the back of the dog areas, right before you get to the puppy tubs, I think - it was in the same area as his room was. I do remember some people walking around having a tour while we were looking around, and one of them knocked on the door and talked to Edison while we were in there.

packrat - our shelter''s policies are really similar to dogmom''s/the shelter you visited, and I have to say that helps a LOT, knowing that animals will only be euthanized if there are serious health or behavioral problems where the animal would only be suffering anyway. I really can''t say enough good things about volunteering - I''ve learned such an incredible amount, and its so rewarding

Thanks so much for your personal input AmberG! It certainly does help a lot. Still makes me feel so bad for those animals that never make it to the adoption stage. But it does sound like still such a rewarding experience.

And I definitely have so much I want to learn.

Next was Priscilla, a Dalmation/American Staffordshire Terrier mix - so energetic, and so strong! Such a fun little girl.

Oh my gosh, I love her! I have such a weakness for those pitty faces.
