LiW venting for no real reason :)

Sorry, I''m having an attack of LIW-itis and just need to vent even though nothing bad has happened- In fact, things are going great! I''m just being impatient and need an outlet...

My FF and I went on a wonderful beach vacation last week with his family, and we had such a great time! All of my co-workers were telling me that he would totally propose- but I knew that wouldn''t happen because we had JUST finished ring shopping and there was no time to have the ring done by then (and I know he won''t propose without it). However, I still got that hopeful feeling- but really wasn''t surprised when it didn''t happen and wasn''t upset at all.

Last night we were discussing time frames and stuff and he knows that I''ve got severe LIW-itis (although I really am trying not to pressure him and vent just to you guys). He told me it will happen within a year from now, but he doesn''t want to say anything other than that because he doesn''t want to ruin the surprise (I know this is a good thing, but my curiosity and excitement are killing me!)

I don''t want to ruin the surprise either, but I''m soooo ready I could burst.

Thanks for listening to my unnecessary venting- I know you girls will understand

I totally understand. It’s difficult being a LIW because every event in your life turns into an opportunity for him to propose…a birthday, an anniversary, a vacation, him putting on the “expensive” cologne LOL.

I have these convos with the boyfriend all the time. I tell him that he needs to understand where the frustration is coming from. Technically, I wanted to get engaged months ago and if the process was different…I would have gone out the same day that I got hit with the engagement bug, bought myself a ring, put it on, and started planning a wedding LOL. Of course that’s not how it goes and he has his own timeframe.

lol. I''m right there with you girl, he said within the year, and I just have to wait on the surprise. I am trying to train myself to stop half-expecting the engagement all the time. It''s freaking hard. That''s why we need these vents with no purpose on PS!
