FI and I went on to try on veils/headpieces today. There are two that are interesting, but I'm not sure if either of those are "it". Tell me what you think -- I need absolute honesty. Suggestions are always welcome.

P.S. Try not to pay attention to the broken out face

it''s really difficult to imagine when we dont know what your dress looks like...i personally aside from that think number #1 is better IMO

Hi Rock Your Socks! Thanks for your reply. I completely forgot to post my dress. It''s the melissa sweet mila. Here it is on the model...

I was also considering a veil similar to this...

Let''s try again...

Thanks MINIMS! I am very partial to #1, althought it was not what i had envisioned. The great thing about #1 is that it just falls into place, whereas the birdcage veils need to be pinned all over the place to hold their shape.

FI seems to like #2 better.

The only part of #1 I''m a little concerned about is the flower, it''s not quite as sophisticated as the dress (although the feather trim certainly is). I think a more dramatic flower such as a lily, or a lovely sparkling pin, might be a better accent.

I think no. 1 looks best on you. It also has more drama than the larger net, and I think it would be a knockout with your dress!

ETA seeing them both on the same page, I think #1 with your dress would be an incredible haute couture look, without being at all over the top!

I totally agree with Minims! I also really like that #1 has a flower like your Mila - it's looks deliberate and cohesive, but not in a rigid matchy-matchy way. Do you know what I mean? Whatever veil you pick you're going to make a beautiful bride in what is one of my all-time favourite dresses EVER

The flower is not attached to the veil. I wasn''t too thrilled about the flower because it had (for my taste) very large rhinestones. I am undecided between having a small/medium feather flower looking thing (<--- technical term), or a rhinestone pin. Either way, I want it to be something delicate, so as not to take away from my dress.

Pocahontas - I definitely don''t want to be matchy-matchy. I want a headpiece that goes with the dress, but doesn''t match. Maybe feathers. Would that be too much or odd looking in some way?

I love #1!

Number 1 is STUNNING on you and will work perfectly with the dress!!

#1 is my favorite, too...

What is your makeup going to be like?

Because you have such delicate, feminine facial features, I love the finer mesh of the illusion on the first choice..

...but if you''re doing something extremely dramatic with the makeup (lots of shimmery shadow, black liquid liner, lots of lashes and smokiness all at once, for example) , maybe the second veil would be "punchier" ??

I also love that dress!!! So elegant!!!

I like #1 best! It looks really lovely on you.

Thank you Maisie, Sabine, October2008bride, Mediterranean, and Amandine for your lovely comments

I''ve decided to go with choice #1. I''ll be ordering it from occansey designs, and hopefully they can ship it to NY in time for my hair trials (highly doubtful, but a girl can dream!).

I like #1 and # 2......I think that #2 will look better with the dress tho, #2 reminds me Christina Aguilara
