I've been browsing a few threads about where to store your veil. I had a few questions about that.

1) A pillowcase sounds fine but what if your veil is sweep length? I assume the pillow case goes over the top of the veil?
2) Wha'ts the best way to hang a long veil? Fold it? Lay it over something?
3) fold it over the hangar and make sure the pillow case covers it?
4) Do veils get very wrinkled? If so what's the best way to get the wrinkles out? a hand steamer? We have to transport it a couple of times in the car before hand so I'm worried about it getting roughed up on the many car trips!

Eek I'm clueless about veils. I'm picking it up this weekend so I can have it for my hair tiral next week. Anyone have any horror stories about veils and hair trials? I sure hope not!

I also promised some good non-camera phone pics of my headwrap, earrings and bracelet.. and veil! Alll designed by the same woman.
Those will be coming your way by next week!

I kept mine in a cardboard box folded with loads of acid free tissue between each fold. Mine doesn''t crease at all, so I just shook it out the morning of the wedding.

If you are worried about creasing, rolling it is the best way to avoid that - or just hang it on a hanger. You can get great dress bags on ebay for around $8 - I bought one for my dress and you could think about getting one for your veil if it''s very long.

Ditto the tissue.

Nothing to add except that I can''t wait to see proper pictures!

What''s the deal with keeping them in the ''dark'' or not exposed to sunlight?

I would wrap it up in tissue paper, and put it in a bag and hang the bag up in the closet. That's what I do with anything that has a tendency to snag.
