Upgrades??

I''m sure this topic is somewhere...But being sick I just don''t have the patience to search for it...

So with that I ask:

"How many posts does it take for your status to be upgraded?? And what are the posting levels??"

I think there''s only cut rock and ideal rock but not sure when it switches. Everyone over a thousand posts seems to be ideal rock but not sure if that''s the switch over.

Cut rock may be more definitive (or used to be anyway)...ideal rock is up to the adminstrators depending on the quality of your posts, i.e. 1000 posts where 70% of them are just exclaiming "thanks!" probably isn''t going to get you ideal rock status (just a guess on my part). I''ve seen some go ideal even before 500. Others, much longer.

The only reason I ask is because I used to be involved with a Disney board and each level was obtained by the number of posts - not really by the integrity of each post. That particular site if I reacall correctly had 7 different levels. (25, 50, 100, 350, 500, 1,000, 10,000 posts changed the levels)

I''m glad they base it upon the integrity of posts here. Esp. with the 10k reward they give here, I''m sure a lot of people might show up and start firing off one-word replies just to gain "status."

don''t know about the new admin..but i think it was rough rock until 75 posts or something then you went to cut rock. making it to ideal rock was up to the admin based on the quality and helpfulness of the posts and wasn''t determined but a sheer number.

Nope, here it is integrity of the posts. I remember noticing I was an ideal rock at around 450 posts, and being pretty surprised actually (due to the integrity issue...I am not as savvy on diamonds a I would like and I post more on the other boards than Rocky Talky - where most of the technical discussions happen).

I don''t think the 10K reward is a given. I did notice that on the admin''s post, he also appreciated the longevity of the posters, so that may be a factor as well.

Don''t know if it is now, but it was not a set number for a long time. Trust me...I saw people with posts into the 600-700 who were still cut rock.

And as far as not having the patience to search for it...all I did was type in "ideal rock" in the search engine, and it was the first thread listed. Don't know how much patience you need for that...

75 posts needed for cut rock, ideal rock status depends on quality. These were the old standards.
