Yesterday was not a good day at all...and it only got worse in the afternoon.
My girlfriend went to pick up my dress (with the person we carpool with) while I had my wax appointment and 2nd makeup trial with the new lady. The shop lady went to check on the dress, came back downstairs, and told my friend they were working on it. WHAT???? They told her the beads under the arm were being put back on. When my friend called to tell me this, I KNEW this meant that they had just picked it up to work on it. They completely forgot that it was supposed to be ready yesterday and that my friend was coming to get it. Keep in mind that I''d already had to bring it back because they screwed up. I told my friend to go ahead and leave and not wait for it because I knew if they were just putting the beads on, that meant they hadn''t fixed the waist band OR pressed it yet. I called the salon and tried to stay calm. The manager was indifferent and had an attitude. She said she would call me back and let me know the status. She finally did call my back while I was getting my trial. She had to nerve to ask if my friend would be coming back that same evening or if I was. I said I would be there before the shop closed. I then called FI in a rage and asked him to meet me at the dress shop. Big surprise, the beads were back on but the band was not fixed. I tried to keep my composure and I asked for her to tell to me what they would do to make it right. Long story short, she is personally delivering it me at my work today. I will open it in front of her and if it''s not right, I will send it back with her and she can deliver it again later. I will not keep driving to the shop. It''s out of my way and I''ve already wasted a lot of gas and time and my friend''s gas and time!!!
I went home, had 3 glasses of wine, and went to bed. Today my co-workers are telling me I''m glowing and that I seem much better. I do...it will all be taken care of.
Oh I loved the MAC trial with the new girl. She did a great job, so I''m confident she will do well on Friday.
Today, I have a touch-up color appointment after work and then my airbrush tan appointment. From there I''m going home and cleaning up a little bit. FI''s family is staying there Friday night which is why it needs to be cleaned. Sweetie FI did a lot last night though.
My dress better be perfect when she drops it off today!! Oh, and Houston brides - I take back all the good things I''ve said about Ventura Bridal!! Once they make the sale, the customer service is a GONER!!
